austrian police believe the suspect for the villach stabbing was a suspected islamist who was radicalised online. a 23 year old syrian asylum seeker has been arrested after stabbing passer bys in the austrian city. yesterday, a 14 year old boy has died and four others were left seriously injured, with three in intensive care. the 23 year old suspect, who has not yet been named, is a syrian national with a legal residence in austria, according to the police. austria's leading freedom party leader herbert kickl said in a statement we need a rigorous crackdown on asylum and cannot continue to import conditions like those in villach. now the family of the british nationals, craig and lindsay forum, is rallying to secure their safe return after the couple was detained in iran. the couple were travelling across the world on motorbikes before being arrested in january, with iranian state media reporting they face security charges. the foreign office is in contact with iranian officials and is providing consular support.

meanwhile, sir keir starmer's chagos islands deal has been hit by another dramatic revelation as the chief mastermind behind the deal, and former prime minister has been questioned over an alleged money laundering scandal. the shadow home secretary, chris philp, is urging the prime minister to abandon the deal, citing concerns about corruption. speaking to gb news earlier on this morning, secretary of state for business and trade jonathan reynolds said we need to focus on the deal itself. going around the with the chagos islands is about securing the long term future of an incredibly important uk us military base. that's what the deal is seeking to achieve. it's why the previous government began negotiations around it, and what matters to me is making sure for our national security, that long term position is upheld. and, you know, there's been a lot of commentary on what that deal is. when it's finished, it will be published in the usual way. but let's not lose sight of what we're trying to do here. we're trying to secure the long term future of an essential facility. >> and hollywood will descend on
