6:04 am
the next one. >> okay. >> okay. >> and this is the next one. so this time the prince of wales has orange. no. >> is that. >> is that. >> purple and blue? it does look a bit like cher. yellow eyes. purple and blue hair. and a green shirt. >> right. >> right. >> who do we think created this one? eamonn. >> no idea. do you know? don't know. not really sure or care, but. >> ellie, i care, i care. >> princess charlotte did. >> princess charlotte did. >> that one. yes. >> and can we just show next song? because this is my favourite and i actually think so. 50. >> so. >> that's good. that is very good. >> how good is that? >> how good is that? >> well, whoever did that one has an artistic bent, a leaning. >> i would agree with that too, don't you? >> lovely big cushion as well. >> lovely big cushion as well. >> very. david hockney said of the papers this morning. >> was it david hockney? >> was it david hockney? >> it looks like it could be david hockney. no, it was prince george. >> very good. now you can see there's an artistic bent going on there. you're right. >> and finally, the last one, eamonn, you'll be glad to know is this one. and this is a lovely portrait of prince louis. but who is the artist? >> i can see that again. that's. that's very good. that's much more mature. whoever's whoever's. >> it's charcoal is going on there.
6:05 am
>> charcoal? yeah. nice charcoal portrait. >> very nice. so maybe mummy did that of one of her children, then. >> ding ding ding. >> ding ding ding. >> i think you're right. >> i think you're right. >> prince of wales? yes. her and prince george clearly have artistic tendencies. yes. good. >> now, if you're in the mood of your sketching someone in your house, please don't bother sending it to us. we're not interested. >> unless it's of you. >> unless it's of you. >> of course you. >> of course you. >> in which case, send your eamonn pictures in. now. we'd love to see them. >> unless it's thin. if it's thin, that's fine. >> that's a great portrait of you. is that watercolour? is that.is you. is that watercolour? is that. is that sketched another one in your. >> yes. it's not watercolour. it's. it's oils. >> oh sorry. it's oils. yes. and that's very good as well. and it has a real likeness to you. >> thank you. >> thank you. >> very much. and you've got time for that one, haven't you? >> always time for that one. >> always time for that one. >> there you go. >> there you go. >> as my kids say to me, where are we going to hang that? so it never. >> neven >> really hallway. >> really hallway. >> well, that's what i thought, but obviously not. anyway, let's talk about this crash overnight in canada. toronto a plane
6:06 am
flipped at the toronto pearson international. miraculously, 80 passengers and crew have survived. 18 injured, three in a critical condition. >> well, survivors are now sharing incredible footage of their escape. let's take a look. >> everything. drop it. come on. don't take no bannau away. go away! go! holy, holy. holy. oh, my. oh! >> yo! i was just on this. oh my god! >> well, that plane is upside down in the snow. in the ice. if you are listening on the radio. >> well, just miraculously, just seeing those people emerge from it. we've got simon calder in the studio now, travel
6:07 am
correspondent, to talk about this worrying trend. but it is amazing that that plane is flipped. and there are so far no fatalities. >> it is. and thank goodness for the extraordinary work of the cabin crew evacuating that aircraft. if you ever and the chances are extraordinarily low, if you ever find yourself in the position of having an emergency evacuation, please don't video it. just concentrate on getting out. that's the thing to do. and do not, as some of the people in those images showed, do not carry any cabin baggage. just get yourself out. otherwise you will be obstructing other people. but absolutely, as you say, a miracle that people survived, but also a testament to the way that safety is engineered into aircraft. of course, we don't know at this stage what happened to flight 4819. it had taken off normally from minneapolis saint paul.
6:08 am
flew to toronto, came in to land. we do know that conditions were difficult. they'd had, over the past few days, a foot of snow. there was gusts in the forecast up to 40 miles an hour, which obviously is going to make things difficult. confusingly, the toronto airport fire chief said there were no there were no crosswinds at the time. we simply don't know about that. but what appears to have happened? looking at the only other case i've ever seen of this, which was in 1999, china airlines flight from bangkok to hong kong, which also flipped oven hong kong, which also flipped over. very sadly, in that case, three people died. but the aircraft in that case, and i'm not saying it's the same in this one, came in and actually one wing touched the runway that then broke off. the other wing is now providing lots of lift, and that forces the aircraft over and again. in that case,
6:09 am
almost everybody got out alive. very sadly, three people died in this case. yep. it there will be very, very good investigation by the canadian authorities and indeed the us authorities to find out what happened. >> nonetheless, a worrying trend, simon. the amount of plane crashes that's been in the past six months alo
