chagos islands deal, saying i think will be inclined to go along with your country. the us president went on to say he is confident ukraine and russia will agree to a ceasefire deal. however, on the question of ukraine joining nato, trump suggested that*s not going to happen. elsewhere, andrew tate and his brother tristan have arrived in florida after romania lifted their travel ban. the controversial brothers also said some of their seized assets had now been returned to them by romanian authorities, including properties and vehicles. the trump administration reportedly pressed the romanian government to lift travel restrictions on the brothers earlier this month, though, when the us president was asked about their case today, he said he doesn't know anything about it. the controversial influencer and his sibling are facing a series of criminal charges in the country, which they both strongly deny. speaking outside the us airport, andrew tate said he and his brother are largely

misunderstood. >> listen, listen, listen. we live in a democratic society where it's innocent until proven guilty. and i think my brother and i are largely misunderstood. there's a lot of opinions about us, a lot of things that go around about us on the internet. we've yet to be convicted of any crime in our lives, ever. we have no criminal record anywhere on the planet, ever. our case was dismissed on the 19th of december in romania under the biden administration, and our prosecutor recently decided, because we have no active indictment in court, to let us go and return. this is a democratic society. it*s democratic society. it's supposed to be innocent until proven guilty, as my brother and i are. and i think it*s i are. and i think it's extremely important that we stop allowing media spin, wrap up, smears, lies, or carefully constructed narratives from george soros funded operations trying to destroy the reputations of good people who have no intention to do anything other than follow the law. >> gb news can reveal. the world renowned moorfields eye hospital is in crisis after a leaked letter revealed a breakdown in trust between its consultants and leadership. in a document

8:07 pm
me. i think the initial response here, this is a relationship thatis here, this is a relationship that is always kind of come through any sort of problems that that we*ve had between the that that we've had between the two countries. and, and this is another way that we can show that the, the two countries are united, stronger than ever. my time in the white house, the first, first administration, i travelled with the president all over the world and got to experience a state visit back in, back in the day. and i can i can confidently say that the president's relationship with the leadership of great britain has always been very, very strong. and i and i would suspect that through the conversations today, we're going to kind of find an equal footing. i don't know the for the amount of wins that the prime minister is going to walk away with today. but i can confidently say that we're we*re going to renew that relationship, and this is a good way to do it. >> well, william, there will be
8:08 pm
some surprise at president trump*s suggestion that he was happy with the chagos deal, or at least he would be accepting this chagos deal. obviously, we're going to hear a lot more, i suspect, fairly soon. imminently, perhaps. but what is your immediate reaction to that? because we've heard a lot of folks in washington recently say that the chagos deal directly undermines america's strategic interests, that this is essentially giving territory to an ally of china. it's undermining america's diego garcia base. what's your reaction to what the president has said earlier on today? >> sure. well, i look at everything through the prism of it sounds it sounds crazy, but through the prism of the art of the deal and the president, the number one topic that we're talking about right now, at leastin talking about right now, at least in washington, dc, from a foreign policy aspect, is ukraine and russia. how are we going to find some sort of resolution and knowing that the president is robust in his
8:09 pm
position of not not giving away the entire house during these negotiations, i think that that's his focus. and so in in a little bit of deference to, to our, our, our allies, we're going to be open to the chagos. question. right. and i think that's kind of what we saw today. obviously we didn't see a commitment. he's just opening the door. and that*s what we have to do. that's we're watching have to do. that'
