will see you all if your headunes will see you all if your headlines with the other gb news legend. mark white. >> what? >> what? >> hello again. the latest headunes >> hello again. the latest headlines from the gb news centre. the reform mp rupert lowe has been suspended from the party amid allegations he made physical threats against the party chairman, zia yusuf. mr yusuf confirmed the party had also received complaints from two female employees about serious bullying in mr lowe's parliamentary and constituency offices. in a statement, mr lowe said he was disappointed but not surprised to learn of what he said were false allegations. he also said that the allegations of bullying at his offices are not about him, and he is taking legal advice. well, the metropolitan police has confirmed that it received complaints of verbal threats made by a 67 year old man, and

facing lengthy jail terms for one of the largest and most complex spy operations to be uncovered on uk soil. the three bulgarian nationals were found guilty at the old bailey of spying on an industrial scale and putting lives and national security at risk. well, commander dominic murphy, head of the metropolitan police counter—terror command, details the threat they posed. >> everything we've discovered the threat was quite broad, in fact. so, yes, they were gathering information. it's what you might call lifestyle surveillance against individuals here in the uk. my concern has always been, though, what was that lifestyle surveillance going to lead to? and we have seen a long history of the russian state conducting operations here in the united kingdom, including lethal threat operations like the investigation in salisbury. so deeply worrying about the physical and information challenges created. >> the police watchdog has reopened its investigation into

>> reform were riding high in the polls. they were beating barry gardiner's labour, they were beating the tories, they were beating the tories, they were beating the lib dems. that's not that hard, though, is it? to be fair? they were beating the greens as well, for what it's worth. and then rupert lowe did this interview with the daily mail in which he said, and i'm going to quote you a few things. now we have to start developing policy, which is going to change the way we govern. i'm not going to be by nigel's side at the next election, unless we have a proper plan to change the way we govern from top to bottom. okay, well then what happens? reform uk release this statement. the party received complaints from two female employees about serious bullying in the offices of rupert lowe. one worked in his parliamentary office, the other in his constituency office. evidence was provided to us of workplace bullying, the targeting of female staff, evidence of derogatory and discriminatory remarks. these

include reference to a perceived disability. the statement also says this okay, there were threats of physical violence against party chairman zia yousef. these have been reported to the police. well, i can tell you all now that we've got a statement from the police, okay. they said that they received a report about verbal threats made on the 13th of december. so it's the 13th of december. they say it was made. this was only reported to them yesterday. and that is, of course, the day after rupert lowe's article in the daily mail was published. so you can make of that what you will. that's according to the police anyway. anyway, so rupert lowe has hit back. all right. so he says, well, the allegations of bullying of women are not about him at all. he just says they are not about him. all right. and then he says, yeah, they're about somebody else. and then he says the investigation is based on zero credible evidence against him. and he's instructed his lawyers. he then said this, i'm sorry, to the

millions of decent british men and women all over the country who put their faith in reform. you've been let down. you all deserve better. so that, as far as i'm aware, is where we're up to. for what it's worth, i've contacted yusuf tonight. crickets on that front, i'm afraid. rupert lowe i did contact. i'll read you a message that i've had from him now, which was a whatsapp just moments ago. just quickly. it's quite funny, he says. it's malicious, child's play, but very damaging. he says he's just got home and he's opened a bottle of wine and he says the truth will out. have fun. so there we go again. right? where do people did anyone who in this room voted reform? does anyone got many reform voters in? quite a few, i imagine. okay. are you all feeling a bit let down tonight, do you think? yeah, i'm feeling a bit let down. i think we should just go straight to an audience question on this. you, sir, in that lovely. what would you describe it as? salmon? peach top. i think it's fantastic. salmon. barry gardiner, salmon expert. over here. go on, hold the microphone. what's your point on this, mate? >> so with howard cox, ben habib
