reform supporter, it was a busy weekend. even if you're not a reform supporter, it was a busy weekend. if you're interested in what's going on with that party. andrew pierce. on friday there was an article in the daily mail. was it thursday? oh yeah, because we were on the telly. so it was thursday. on thursday there was an article in the daily mail, which was an interview that you did with rupert lowe. yeah. we can show you up on. >> screen just to remind people he is the great yarmouth mp, one of the five mps successful businessman in his own right worth about 30 million, employs 350 people. what he said in that article, he said lots of things. i mean, he had some really hard line things to say about migration. deport every single illegal migrant who's not cheering that. but it's what he said about nigel farage messianic. and does he have the will those qualities turn into sage qualities of leadership? jury's out. and is he a proper. and he also says the reform is more of a protest party than a proper political party. >> and in the article it says that he declared he wasn't sure that he declared he wasn't sure
9:38 am
that farage could deliver the goods and become prime minister. >> well, i think he thinks he could be prime minister, but can he deliver the goods? it's a different question altogether. >> but for nigel farage waking up on friday morning for the past thursday morning, thursday morning, sorry, this was problematic for them. they are still maintaining that this article has had nothing to do with the fact that rupert lowe has had the whip suspended. >> the very next day. >> the very next day. >> the very next day. >> the very next day, they appointed the case on the friday to deal with this inquiry. >> so in context, there were allegations made of rupert lowe bullying. two female members of his parliamentary staff that would normally be investigated by the parliamentary authorities, and they're pretty thorough. however, reform decided at the end of february to bring in a kc to investigate it, and they decided to tell the world about that. the day after my article appeared. >> and the allegations were not specifically against rupert lowe. i think that's really important to say. they are
9:39 am
against two offices that he runs, people in two offices. now, these are complaints from two women in two separate offices, one of them in great yarmouth, one of them in london. what else could reform do? they have to take complaints seriously. it is 2025. if they hadnt seriously. it is 2025. if they hadn't taken those complaints seriously, and those women came out six months later and said, i complained to nigel farage and the party that there was a bullying culture in our office, and you did nothing about it, then the reform party will be criticised for not being professional and being possibly misogynistic. >> i get that, but also have to understand here these people are not employed by reform, they're employed by parliament, they're paid for by the taxpayer. so there is immediately there's a complaint of this nature. parliament's own investigations kick in. so there is a separate proper parliamentary inquiry 152
