decision is an absolute insult and a betrayal to my family and our father's memory. >> breaking news at this hour that a man in his 30s has been arrested for entering the uk without permission. he is believed to be palestinian asylum seeker. abu wadee, who allegedly arrived on a migrant boat before posting extremist content on his social media platforms. and it comes on the 10th day in a row that more small boats have reached uk waters. 150 migrants arrived this morning, taking the total since march, the first to now over 2200. the government says it is cracking down on small boat crossings and strengthening border security, with new police and immigration powers. ministers also say the border security bill will help remove those with no legal right to stay in the country, as part of a £150 million plan to toughen

enforcement. and also breaking this hour news from the north sea, where we're hearing that the uk coastguard is responding to an incident where an oil tanker and a cargo vessel have collided. we believe the location to be near hull, off the east yorkshire coast. some more details just emerging that the ships have collided with a helicopter rescue team from the coastguard responding from humberside alongside a number of lifeboats from skegness, bridlington, mablethorpe and various other areas. we're also heanng various other areas. we're also hearing reports that an aircraft is also responding, with firefighting capabilities being sent to the area. any more details? we will of course keep across and bring you the very latest right here on gb news. in other news, though, a22 british diplomats are being expelled from russia, accused of espionage in what's been seen as

the latest for tat move. moscow says the pair carried out intelligence and subversive work and must leave within two weeks. it follows the uk's expulsion of a russian diplomat last month. part of the ongoing diplomatic standoff. prime minister sir keir starmer has vowed to stand by ukraine, though, and is pledging more defence spending and a coalition of the willing against russian aggression. moscow has condemned his calls, though, for a peacekeeping force as tensions between the two countries hit a new lows. and just before i hand you back to miriam and dawn, let's return now to that breaking news regarding that oil tanker colliding with a cargo vessel in the north sea. further details just emerging that the two have both set fire in the north sea, just off the hull coast with a fixed wing aircraft, lifeboats and firefighting teams all responding to the scene. no reports at this stage of any
