one driver was killed. guests were treated at the scene. the other driver was taken to the hospital but is oklahoma. rick baldwin spoke to a witness earlier. >> there was like a complete family from a train coming from epcot, the first actual train, the first car. >> were they getting off easily? did they see ems? emergency crews. >> when we got upstairs, we were there about 10, 15 minutes before the police and rescue got on the scene. when we got upstairs, like i say, we got upstairs and got the doors open. the family was able to come out. they were shooken up. i guess they didn't know what was going on because you couldn't see forward. they came out. the kids were crying. it was about i want to say a family of six, a mother and father and kids. >> disney officials at orlando

says they're working closely with officials to find out what happening. >> detectives want to find out more about the relationship between steve mcnair and the woman he was found dead with. they were shot in mcnair's nashville condominium. police say he was shot several times once in the head and kazemi had one gunshot wound. employees say he and his family often ate at the restaurant. mcnair was a passenger in the car. one woman is dead and several people hurt after a tour bus plowed into a rock ledge in the adirondack mountains. officials say the bus rolled on to the rocks pinning a woman underneath. the bus crashed around 3:00 this morning in lake george, new

york. no word on where the bus was headed. police haven't identified the woman who was killed. we have an update on the deadly fireworks explosion. a third person has died from injuries he sustained when a truck carrying a load of fireworks literally blew apart. they were unloading the fireworks for a professional fourth of july display when the truck exploded. two others were critically injured in the blast. they were all part of a crew setting up for the show. they're looking into causing the explosion. a lightning strike killed one man and injured more than a dozen other. a sheriff says the lightning came out of nowhere. >> we know that there was no rain at the time. there were a few clouds moving in the area, according to the preliminary information that we received. but obviously nothing at all would indicate to them that

there was a danger, and as a result, one man died. >> the injured people all had nonlife-threatening injuries. the authorities searched for damage to see where it hit but they haven't found any clues so far. a packed pedestrian bridge collapsed at an indiana park southeast of chicago as people were leaving a fireworks celebration last night. no one was killed but several had to be rescued from the waertd. a rescue helicopter flew above to shine in the water. 16 teens were taken to hospitals nearby. witnesses say the 90-foot wooded suspension bridge was very overcrowded. more than a million fans who registered for free tickets will find out in about an hour whether they were picked in a random drawing. the odds aren't great though. more than 1.5 million signed up for tickets for tuesday's

with president obama. the organization of mesh states has suspended honduras over the ousture of their president. he says several latin american leaders and reporters will be with him. he was forced to costa rica lat sunday and roberto micheletti was sworn in as interim president. he says he'll arrest zelaya if he returns. in washtds former d.c. mayor was arrested for smoking crack. now he's a washington, d.c. councilman and he's had another run-in with the law.

the fourth of july is a time for celebration. and for firing up the grill. according to georgia state university nutritionist trish rosen bloom there are certain things to keep in mind. start with two cutting boards to keep meat and veggies separate and watch how the food is handled. don't pit your raw chicken on it. you can cross-contaminate the meat. >> she suggests finishing the meat on the grillch that can help prevent cancer-causing come pounds from forming. grill with a meat thermometer as

looked pretty bad there by he says it's actually oklahoma and he can still see out of it. even after being shot he tried to get the license plate of the getaway car. he tracked the suspect down after he crashed his car. former washington, d.c., mayor marion barry was arresteded again. a woman flagged down an officer and claimed barry was stalking her yesterday. in 1990 he served six months in prison after the fbi videotaped him smoking crack cocaine. he's now on the city council. the unemployment rate hit 9.5% in june. job cuts are affecting people across the board. if you look more closely at the numbers, you're going to find the rate is even higher among african-americans. christine roman breaks it down in our special black in america report. >> reporter: a bitle recession

1990s. william rogers was chief economist in the clinton labor department. >> there's been a chronic two-to-one difference for several decades. >> economists have long been troubled by the question why. >> your rates are higher for a variety of reasons from having lower levels of education, receiving less training, facing more challenges since getting to the jobs. add then another issue is g getting early job experience. >> when we look at the reasons to this we have to look at issue. we can look at the high levels of incarceration for black men. black men not being allowed access to jobs with opportunities for career advancements, jobs that have, you know, pay higher wages. >> over the past decade millions of manufacturing jobs have been

the president said that move is the first step toward iraq taking control of its own destiny. because the courage and capability of every single american in iraq, a sovereign and united iraq is taking control of its own destiny. iraq's future now rests in the hands of its own people. as extraordinary an accomplishment as that is, we know that this transition won't be without problems. we know there will be difficult days ahead. that's why we'll remain a strong partner to the iraqi people on behalf of their security and prosperity. >> the obamas also took time to celebrate their eldest daughter malia's birthday. she turned 11 on the fourth. the president said when malia was younger, he would tell her the july 4th fireworks were for her. he told the crowd he's not sure she believes that anymore. former president bush spent his fourth of july in oklahoma.

he spoke in a small town of woodward as part of festivities celebrating the renovation of a local park there. bush joked with the crowd saying he appreciated them giving a retired guy something to do. he also told them what he missed most about his old job. >> i'm often asked what do i miss the most about being president of the united states. well, i can get by with the traffic jams. i sure miss air force one. but i really miss being the commander in chief of such fine men and women. bush drew thunderous applause when he declared u.s. the greatest nation on the face of the earth. the woodward city manager said it was the first presidential visit to the town since dwight eisenhower who made a brief stop in the 1950s. the british cyclist

outsprinted to win. lance armstrong finished safely in the pack, maintaining 10th in the overall standings. yesterday's winner maintained the overall leader's jersey. armstrong returned to professional cycling after a 3.5-year break. this is his first tour de france race since finishing in 2005.
