both aircraft crashed into the hudson river. most of the helicopter was lifted out of the river today and recovery teams believe they have some positive hits that will allow them to recover parts of the plane. >> at 8:00 a.m. divers got back into the water. during the recovery efforts today they were able to recover most of the helicopter. the helicopter was removed from the water and has been taken to a pier for further examination. that helicopter was in water that was about 30 feet deep. the divers had extremely challenging conditions, with current and visibility at times one foot in front of them. >> the ntsb is asking anyone with video or pictures of the accident to come forward to help them figure out what happened. most of the italian tourists have left but some stayed behind

to identify the dead. this is the city's worst air disaster since the crash in queens. the tragic ending of a high-speed police chase is a somer reminder of how dangerous it can be. seven people died when the vehicle slammed into a pickup truk. both vehicles ended up in an orange orchard. three other people were hospitalized. pursuit began whenner ifs tried to stop the car for a traffic infraction and it took off. the crash happened after the car sped through a stop sign. 40 inmates are in the hospital following a prison riot in california. a spokesperson said some of the

injuries are life threatening. the violence broke out at the california institution for men. one unit housing 200 inmates was set on fire. inmates self-evacuated into a yard but it is not clear whether all of them made it out of the building. the u.s. military says 51 u.s. soldiers in iraq were diagnosed with swine flu. the associate press reports all of them have fully recovered after treatment but 71 other u.s. soldiers suspected of contracting the virus remain in isolation. ap says iraqi health officials have confirmed the country's first case of swine flu death. the woman was from the southern town of najaf. the u.s. military is testing any soldier with a fever or sore throat. a public funeral is being held for 8-year-old robert manuel. his body was found in a canal in
