1:04 am
wife because she was pregnant. new images surface of elin woods out on the town without her wedding ring. >> good evening. i'm nancy grace. bombshell doesn't, child services flanked by police show up at woods' mansion reportedly after claims of a domestic incident with a weapon in front of the children. >> why is the florida department of children and families reportedly investigating tiger and elin woods? radar online reporting dcf representatives made a visit to the woods home on friday. >> he made an announcement he's taking an indefinite break from golf. >> and after flying under the radar elin woods finally spotted running errands without her wedding ring. what's it mean? >> more alleged affairs, more alleged mistresses, a full-blown tiger woods scandal. >> woods portraying himself as a dedicated family man. >> the hardest part for me is to
1:05 am
know that this whole time, you know, two and a half years that i thought that i could have been the only woman and the only reason why, you know, we didn't hang out as much would be that he was busy and to -- to go back and think that, you know, his reasons for being busy may have been another woman is -- it is really hard. >> accenture is dropping him basically saying he is not the right representative for its advertising. >> reports woods' 155-foot yacht "priva "privacy" load for the trip as whereabouts of tiger woods still remain unknown tonight. >> straight out to tom o'neal, senior editor "in touch weekly." tonight on the legal front, department of children and family services reportedly showing up at woods' multi-million dollar compound flanked by police. what happened? >> well, they arrived on friday with an orange county sheriff to investigate this claim that we hear, nancy, that involves an incident with a weapon.
1:06 am
there are other reports it may have even been a golf club. we don't know. that's unconfirmed. >> tom. >> what? >> put tom back up. in many aggravated assault, even murder cases, a weapon doesn't have to be -- i mean, use your mind, tom. >> right, right, right. >> it doesn't have to be a knife or a gun. >> right. >> it could be a golf club. it could be fists, it could be feet. it could be a car. >> right. >> anything that is used as a weapon, weapon-like, could be deemed a weapon under the law. >> and this also be a frivolous complaint because the golf club accusation is what was at heart of the thanksgiving day blowup which is what caused this thing. child services is calling this a well-being check where they go in the home, separate the family members and talk to the family and get their side of the story. we don't know the full story, nancy. >> i've got a tiny problem with their your scenario. >> okay. >> it's not your fault, tom,
1:07 am
let's unleash the lawyers. we're taking your calls. we have reports that department of family and children family services has pulled up flanked by police to tiger woods multi-million dollar xol. melly odom and jason oceans renowned defense attorney in the new york and new jersey area and peter odom prosecutor turned defense attorney also in atlanta. eleanor, if this is over the same incident, where allegedly someone is brandishing a golf club, aren't they a day late and a dollar short? >> it sure is, nancy, because it's a crime. if you have an aggravated assault or some type of physical altercation and you do it in front of children, that's a crime in and of itself. >> what about you to, sheryl mccollum, crime analyst? >> absolutely, no question. they are a little late, nancy, but at least they showed up. >> let's go out to the lines and utah. hi, dear. >> caller: hi, dear, how are
1:08 am
you? >> i'm good, dear. what's your question. >> caller: i have a question. if i understand correctly, they have a pre-nup. >> yeah. >> caller: doesn't adultery automatically null and void that pre-nup where she can get the money she deserves for the worldwide public humiliation that she's suffering. >> that's what i keep asking the lawyers and they keep telling me that infidelity very often is not addressed in a pre-nup because they don't want the pre-nup to be defeated so in the pre-nup very often they don't have a clause that says, and, hey, if i fool around, then i owe you $50 million more so it's not addressed, but let's go to the lawyers. jason oceans, it seems to me that you go into a marriage in good faith. do you sign this pre-nup and then suddenly let's just say your husband has 14 affairs from everybody from a porn star to a waitress at the pancake house.
1:09 am
>> right. >> all right? now to me that would crack the pre-nup. >> well, you know, it depends, as you eloquently stated, what's in the agreement. no one wants to put that specific act, of course, which is a ground automatically for divorce in most states to allege adultery so i don't think anyone contemplating that type of pre-nup agreement wants to put that in, as you did state. >> take a look at these shots we're showing you. these were just taken in the last hours. you see his wife elin nordegren without that huge humongous diamond ring. peter odom, with your experience in divorce law, that's very typically the first sign of a divorce. people start taking off the rings. >> well, that's true and we're also hearing rumors that they are starting to buy a castle in europe and make plans to move there so this could very well be the beginning of the end. >> pete odom up. peter odom, they are not starting to buy a castle in europe. elin nordegren has closed on a
1:10 am
family mansion in her homeland on an island off the coast. >> there you go. there you go. so this is certainly the beginning of the end. >> i don't know if he, tiger woods, is part of that purchase, but let's go to alexis with radaronline.com. alexis, what can you tell me about reports that moving advance have pulled up into the compound in florida, packed up and left and now we see boxes being loaded on to woods' multi-million dollar yacht "the privacy." >> well, nancy, that has happened. moving van did pull up in front of tiger's home and they moved out lots of boxes. we didn't see either tiger or elin, but she does have the home. tiger's plane landed in europe today in her home country of sweden, and the boat seems to be moving things, too. >> to ellie josted, ellie, yet another woman has decided to go public, and she goes on and on about all the pain she's worried about she's causing the wife
1:11 am
elin nordegren. why the heck did she go on the "today" show to announce it if she's so worried. take a listen, ellie. >> okay. >> what was he telling you? >> just that his marriage was on the rocks and there was a baby on the way and that he had to uphold this image and stick it out for now and things were not good at home. >> and what made you realize then that he wasn't being true to his word, that that wasn't -- that he wasn't going to leave his wife? >> the media. i started seeing them out in the pictures being printed and i just -- then i didn't believe it and then i also would wake up in the night and he would be texting, you know, in the middle of the night and i would ask who he was texting and say checking e-mails and i just had that feeling that this was something bigger. >> so you started realizing at that point with the texts and everything that perhaps he was having relationships with multiple women? >> that's correct. i'm not party girl that they are claiming that i am.
1:12 am
i do go out with my girlfriends and have fun, you know, but i'm not -- i'm not like most of these girls, and i'm not judging them by any means, you know. i'm not putting anybody down, but i'm a mom and i'm a stay-at-home mom and have worked hard and tried to set right example by my son. >> has this been hard for you and your son? >> yeah. >> how? >> what is your son hearing? >> just all the horrible things. i'm sorry. you know, he has faced -- he's suffered a lot of consequences from this, and i've had to explain to him the mistakes that i've made so it -- it's been very tough, you know, and on my family as well. i don't think anybody wants to see their daughter or granddaughter in this situation. >> do you feel that you're to blame for that? >> yeah.
1:13 am
1:16 am
hey, it's tiger. i need you to do me a huge favor. my wife looked through my phone and may be calling you. >> was it an auto accident? >> it was an auto accident, yes. >> oh, my god. >> i have a neighbor. he hit the tree. >> is he breathing? >> i did feel guilty that, you know, he was spending his time with somebody, you know, that isn't his wife.
1:17 am
it's just the way he was. >> he's been incredibly gracious with the media. he's never not committed himself to the media and he's been great. he makes one mistake, and they rat all over the guy. >> you were seeing video of tiger woods' caddy, steve williams, from nbc's "today show." i want you to take a listen to women who are now coming forward and whining and crying about all the pain they have caused elin nordegren. then why don't they keep their pieholes shut and go home and take care of their family instead of compounding the pain by yakking about it? take a listen. >> what was he telling you? >> just that his marriage was on the rocks and there was a baby on the way and he had to uphold this image and stick it out for now, and things were not good at home.
1:18 am
>> what made you realize, then, that he wasn't being true to his word, that he wasn't going to leave his wife? >> the media. i started seeing them out and the pictures being printed. and i just -- then i didn't believe it and i would also wake up in the night and he would be texting in the middle of the night, and would i ask who he would be texting and he would say checking e-mails. i just had this feeling that this was something bigger. >> so you started realizing with the texts and everything that perhaps he was having relationships with multiple women? >> that's correct. i'm not the party girl they're claiming i am. i do go out with my girlfriends and have fun, but i'm not like most of these girls. i'm not judging them by any means, i'm not putting anybody down, but i'm a mom, and i'm a stay-at-home mom and i've worked hard and tried to set an example for my son. >> has this been hard for you and your son? >> yeah. >> how? what is your son hearing?
1:19 am
>> just all the horrible things. i'm sorry. you know, he has to face a lot of -- he's suffered a lot of consequences from this. and i've had to explain to him the mistakes that i've made. so it has, it's been very tough. on my family as well. i don't think anybody wants to see their daughter or granddaughter in this situation. so it's been hard. >> do you feel you are to blame for that? >> yeah. >> did he ever talk to you about his wife? ever mention her? >> no. the one time that his wife was mentioned was the first day that i met him and that we hung out, and i'm the one that asked him about her. >> you actually, from what i understand, spent time in their home in los angeles as well. >> i did. >> when she wasn't there, obviously. >> yes.
1:20 am
yeah, this happened probably a month after we had been seeing each other. he flew me out, came and picked me up at the airport, and i stayed there for a night. >> spent time in the family home? that's certainly putting the perfume on the pig. you just saw tiger woods' alleged mistress cori rist and jamie jungers on nbc's "today" show. tomorrow the president of the britto agency in new york, meredith vieira there, certainly a fine journalist. she certainly cut tiger woods some slack when she said you spent time in the woods mansion? i don't know if that's really a correct description of what they did in tiger woods' mansion, according to rist.
1:24 am
1:25 am
sleeping. he would take a sleeping pill occasionally. i mean, he did never sleep. even if he wanted to go to bed at maybe 10:00, he wouldn't fall asleep until maybe 12:30, 1:00, and then he'd be up at 3:00. that was just the way he was. >> straight back to the lines. tina in new jersey. hi, tina. >> caller: hi, nancy. i've been thinking this for a while. i haven't seen nobody comment on it. is tiger maybe a sex addict? >> i want to go to dr. janet taylor. what do you think of that, dr. taylor, psychiatrist joining us out of new york? >> well, i certainly think tiger has patterns of infidelity and risk-taking but to call him a sex addict is an excuse essentially for bad, bad behavior. >> why is it that someone that's famous that gets kaut running around suddenly says they have an illness? >> it's a way out and it
1:26 am
separates the responsibility and makes you feel like they can't control it. the reality is tiger has had these patterns, it's deliberate and i don't think he's a sex addict. >> why do you believe, in your expertise, what separates him from a sex addict? >> well, if you think about addiction, certainly the brain likes reward, and if you think about drug addiction and gambling, those kinds of behaviors certainly can set up a pattern where you do an activity and get rewarded. but to be a sex addict, you have to have some pleasure, but i think it's a lot harder to prove and more subjective. and without knowing tiger's psychological profile, it just would be hard to say that he's a sex addict. >> back to the lawyers. eleanor odom, jason oceans, peter odom. peter, what do you make of the department of children and family services showing up at their home? that's pretty serious. >> well, they have to show up when there's any kind of report, even if it's an anonymous report. they have have to go do an
1:27 am
assessment to see if there's anything to it. it doesn't mean there's anything to it, it doesn't mean the allegations are true, but they would be remiss if they didn't go and separate the family members, speak to them and see if there's anything to it. particularly if acts of violence occurred in front of the children. >> to ely josted. what do we know about the report that was made to child services? >> nancy, we don't know who made the report. we did talk to the department of children and families who would describe just only in very general terms that when they get a report like this that they believe it's been made in good faith even if the person hasn't personally witnessed some sort of incident, they still do an investigation. they still check to make sure the family is safe. >> and to rick burton, the david falk professor of sports and management, syracuse university. what is this doing to him as a sports icon? >> well, it's a plot that's building, and the issue to just borrow from rock and roll terminology is whether or not the levee is going to break here fairly soon.
1:30 am
do you think that tiger is a sex addict? >> the man that i knew, the tiger that i knew, i would never think that. it was never about that. he never just said come over, and that's what was going to happen. >> it wasn't one woman, it wasn't two, we think the number is up to 13. >> if these women are to be believed, the relationship with tiger woods would go on for a couple years. how he whined about being married to his wife and wished he had met them before he got married. what is that? there's got to be a medical term.
1:31 am
>> they delude themselves into thinking someday they'll be the only one, that they'll replace the wife. i do not for one second believe he had real relationships with these women. >> his wife and two little children, they're the real victims in all of this. >> generally right now they are trying to work things out. some people are saying, though, it's not necessarily going in his favor. she's kind of wavering in her feelings. . >> so what do sponsors do this? >> accenture drops, tag hoyer, not so much. >> people like certainty, and right now tiger is an uncertainty, and that's not good for himself, his brand or his golf game. >> do you think tiger is a sex addict? >> the man that i knew, the tiger that i knew, i would never think that. it was never about that. he never, you know, just kind of said come over and that's what's going to happen. so, i mean, the person that i knew, i would say no. >> we have just obtained some
1:32 am
sound and interview with tiger woods himself. take a listen. >> this is the man who had it all. >> it's been great. it's been the best thing that ever happened. >> fame, fortune and family. a man unaware that very soon fate would make his answers sound like lies. >> family first and golf second. always be like that? >> always. >> be watching. >> tiger woods, tuesday, exclusive. >> that was part of an interview with tiger woods on sky tv just one month before this scandal erupted, and he is talking about his family being his priority. he seems truthful despite his alleged extramarital affairs. we are taking your calls live out to janet in georgia. hi, janet. >> caller: hi, nancy. >> hi, dear, what is your question? >> caller: why is the news media glorifying these classless
1:33 am
self-centered women with obviously no morals, self-respect nor integrity? >> hold on, hold on, hold on. janet, what do you mean by glorifying them? >> caller: they're showing their faces, they're interviewing them, and if i were them, i would hide my face. i would be so humiliated for everyone to know that i had had an adulterous affair with a married man with two beautiful kids. >> another thing, janet, i'm going to go to you on this, eleanor, because you were mentioning it because one of them actually said i'm not like all the others. >> and clearly, nancy, we see it's the same pattern again and again where each person thinks they're the only one and that they'll be the one with tiger. >> there are now reports that porn purveyors have offered a cool $1 million to any of these 14 alleged mistresses of tiger woods to star in a porn flick. i could kind of see it right now
1:34 am
out to you, peter odom, jason, eleanor odom. she'll come on to the scene, and let me guess, it will be at a golf course. okay. if they make that scenario happen in a porn video, jason oceans, would tiger woods have the right to get an injunction to stop it or to sue? >> i don't know how he'd have that ability if a consenting adult were involved in the porn industry. >> because it would clearly be about him. >> you wouldn't use his name, you would make everything seem just -- >> put jason oceans up. jason oceans, you don't have to name an individual. for instance, i don't have to say michael jackson. all i have to do is put on one glove and dance like nobody else in the universe ever could. >> that's it. that's why tiger would have no basis to sue as long as you didn't use his name, but all of us would know exactly who it was.
1:35 am
>> i understand. now, let me ask you this, jason oceans. i think i got you over the barrel. isn't the truth a complete defense? >> well, we're talking something published or slanderous as opposed to some sort of spoof porn movie? >> put him up. >> thank you, nancy. >> how -- what would be his claim in a lawsuit, jason oceans? you just said we could sue. >> i did not say he could sue. >> yes, he did. >> i said he would have no basis to sue. he's have no basis as long as you did not use his name. >> okay, that doesn't make sense, because you don't have to use his name for him to be identifiable. >> the question was, would he have a basis to sue? he wouldn't be able to get an injunction. there would be no reason for him legally to be able to get one, none. >> agree, peter odom? >> portraying someone or using their image or name in a very unfavorable, unflattering situation that is not true such as a porn move we tiger woods could be what's called false light defamation, but it would be a stretch in this case, and
1:36 am
as you suggest, nancy, truth is a complete defense to defamation. >> i'm not suggesting it, peter odom, i'm telling you flat out, point blank, the truth is a complete defense. >> that's right. >> and also, jason oceans, there's the issue of him being a public figure. you can make a lot more fun and say all sorts of nasty things about somebody if they're a public figure. i'm talking about the president, i'm talking about the vice president, i'm talking about celebrities, people on tv, tiger woods. you can say all kinds of nasty things about them, true or not true, and get away with it. >> you can. >> that's the state of the law, yes or no, eleanor? >> yes, you're right. just think of shows like "saturday night live" that parodies these stars all the time and get away with it. >> back to the lines. betty in ohio. hi, betty. >> caller: hello, nancy. >> what's your question? >> caller: my question is are they really separating, and is
1:37 am
she moving and these women make me sick. they make decent women look bad. >> seeing as how i'm not a saint and nobody has ever accused me of being a saint, i'm not going to come down on these women. except the ones that get on tv and cry about how much they've been hurt. but they don't have a duty to anybody. tiger woods is the one that had a duty to his wife and his children. to tom o'neal. what about it, tom o'neal. this one is on you. >> i think they're going to get back together. i think the answer was on his website. >> does that mean that you're saying they are split up? >> i think that's pretty clear. just yesterday she was seen driving around orlando without the wedding ring on -- >> i was driving around today with two kids in the back of my car without my wedding band on. >> all right, okay. >> you think i'm going to leave this thing in the play station at mcdonlds? it didn't mean a thing. his mother was in the car, the kids were there, going to a party obviously without tiger and we don't know, you know, what the upshot is here, but i think tiger's point of view was clearly revealed on the website
1:38 am
on friday when he said that what he wants is to be a better husband, a better father and wants a safe haven for privacy. >> please pause, please pause. i mean, i don't mean to rain on your parade, tom o'neal, but it was just about a month ago that he said family first in that interview on sky tv. >> i know, i know, i know. >> now he's caught red handed and let's hope he -- >> are they split up, or are there moving boxes? are they going to board that yacht with their kids and take off? >> you might think from what tiger has said and the statement he wants to spend more time from her, but everything we're hearing she's not very happy. she's working on a different settlement and perhaps talking to divorce lawyers. she is definitely mad about everything that's going on, and i don't think that you can rule out the fact that they are not going to be together. >> to sheryl mccollum, cold case squad, pine lake pd crime analyst. cheryl, this morning on the "today" show, an alleged
1:39 am
mistress, cori rist, was crying and said she had a very long affair with woods. a lot of these women are claiming two and three-year relationships with them, some in the family home. how difficult will that be for a divorce lawyer to prove after they hire a fleet of investigators like you? >> it's not going to be hard at all. again, we've got text messages. we've got voice mails. she's going to have possibly photographs of him on her cell phone. it's not going to be difficult. >> and to you, ellie josted. on friday we got a cope of the order filed in great britain banning anyone from publishing nude photos of tiger woods. i don't think they exist, but have any surfaced? what's happening on that front? has it been domesticated in the u.s.? >> no, that order hasn't been domesticated yet. as far as we know we don't november any photographs but language in that order is very specific. if you even fake a picture and try to say toys tiger, we'll go after you. >> everybody, a quick break. we're taking your calls live but
1:40 am
1:43 am
1:44 am
this wasn't ships in the night. he really got emotionally involved with these women. >> i did put, you know, a lot of emotion into this, and i did care very much for him, and when we were together, he did make me feel like i was the only girl. so to go back and see, i mean, especially now when there's more and more. >> reports emerging that tiger woods had one of these women in the family home the night his beloved father died. now, how many of us have tuned in at the end of a golf championship to see tiger woods walk up to his father and hug him? you wait the whole tournament to see the hug at the end. and then how poignant that first tournament where tiger woods walked the last hole alone. ellie jostad, what happened?
1:45 am
>> well, nancy, jamie jungers, one of the alleged mistresses, she says that in may 2006, the night that tiger's father was dying of prostate cancer, she said she was in the house with him in california. when he got the call from his mother, he went to a hospice, stayed there about three hours with his father, came home and they had sex as usual, and a while later, tiger's mother called and informed him his father had passed away. >> what about it tom o'neal, "in touch weekly, what else do you know? >> when the phone call came in from his mother, the father had just died. she said, i was just lying there in a pair of panties. this is not the scene you would expect of a man who knows his father is dying and should have his family around him. he died of prostate cancer in this hospice just down the road. >> alexis? >> jamie jungers actually says she was in love with him. that's her excuse and where was
1:46 am
his wife this night? why wasn't he with his family? he was with a woman who said he was in love with him. >> do we have the sound of jungers? cue it up. in the meantime, take a look at wufntd women who appeared on the "today" show this morning. this is cori rist. >> i'm not the party girl they're claiming i am. i do go out with my girlfriends and have fun, but i'm not like most of these girls. i'm not judging them by any means. you know, i'm not putting anybody down, but i'm a mom. i'm a stay-at-home mom and i've worked hard and tried to set the best example for my son. >> has this been hard on you and your son? >> yeah. >> how so? what has your son been hearing? >> just all the horrible things. i'm sorry. you know, he has to face a lot of -- he's suffered a lot of
1:47 am
consequences from this, and i've had to explain to him the mistakes that i've made. so it has. it's been very tough, you know, on my family as well. i don't think anybody -- >> well, if they didn't know it was you before, all those kids you're worried about on the playground, they know now because you were on the "today" show this morning. that's woods' alleged mistress cori rift on the "today" show a couple of hours ago. and here's the young lady, jamie jungers, who claims she was sacked up, slung up in the family mansion the night woods gets a call that his father is slipping away. he leaves to go to the hospice three hours, comes back. according to sources, has sex, they get a call, the father is dead. here she is. >> did he ever talk to you about
1:48 am
his wife? ever mention her? >> no. the one time that his wife was mentioned was the first day that i met him and that we hung out, and i'm the one that asked him about her. >> you actually, from what i understand, spent time in their home in los angeles as well? >> yes. >> when she wasn't there, obviously. >> yes. yeah, this happened probably a month after we had been seeing each other. >> that is jamie jungers, the alleged mistress of woods on the "today" show, the one that claims she was slung up with him the night his dad passed away. to dr. marty mccarey, professor of public health at johns hopkins. doctor, as always, it's an honor to have you with us. doctor, i'm still focused on the child services going into tiger woods' home to check out reports there was a violent incident in front of the children. are doctors in any way involved
1:49 am
in that? >> a doctor will often tip off child services to go to a family home. anything that looks suspicious to a doctor or even a neighbor or a family member will get reported to cpa, and these groups will actually go -- these teams will go to the home and try to do individual interviews based on a tip-off, and we've had situations in all directions. >> and dr. mccarey, could you explain to me, could you look at his injuries and tell if they were from a car crash or if he got bashed in the head with a golf club? >> actually oftentimes you can. car crash impacts are high velocity impacts from directly straight and from the front whereas domestic dispute injuries are from the side or the backs so often timss you can tell the difference. >> what about it, eleanor dixon? >> well, i agree and, nancy, that's really important to have that physical evidence especially in a domestic violence case. those injuries can tell the story. >> everybody, as we go to break,

our thoughts and prayers to connecticut friend of the show filomena, at 98 years old. she is recovering from successful hip surgery. filomena, please, stay strong. >> do you think he had a problem? do you think there was something going on or that he needed prescription drugs to help him sleep? >> i mean, he is a world renowned athlete, and i'm sure he has so much on his mind and i couldn't imagine it ever being put to sleep but he very much does have a sleeping problem, you know, whether it's insomnia caused by stress or whatever it may be, i don't know, but -- >> do you think he has an addiction to painkillers or sleeping pills? >> i mean, that's something that i wouldn't be able, to you know, say. i wouldn't -- i tried to just fewer text messages and far in between and phone calls. there was a time where he did come out. he did physically come out for five days, and he texted me
