8:32 am
from a practical perspective, my desire is to see the cost of governmental services reduced and the quality of those services increased. on a philosophical level, i, personally, perceive a responsibility to do what i can to continue the admirable legacy of justice, prosperity and tranquility that has been established in the united states and directly confront the forces that undermine that legacy. >> a person also believed to be bedell apparently posted videos on youtube as well. students and teachers across the u.s. protested huge budget cuts, rallies like this one in illinois were planned in 33 states yesterday. correspondent richard lui is digging into the tough budget choices that lawmakers are facing, richard. >> they've got a balanc they're looking at what's coming in and what's going out when looking at coffers. lawmakers in georgia are considering a $300 million budget cut to higher education, plus a 35% tuition hike. some students just say here the state's budget problems should

8:36 am
specifically that will be found right across the middle of the rockies and right around areas by western colorado, and northern parts of wyoming and kasper will see 6 inch and a little bit more. the dark shade of purple is 1 to 2 fight and it will be in later on tomorrow. sexual harassment lake city getting the light raincoat right now. it's on the light side again. kind of a nuisance thing that will pick up later today. winter storm warnings for the snow across western wyoming. most of the snow is around salt lake city and you can see the radar picture picking it up pretty well and we'll have delays at the airport because of this. light rain out ahead of this and you'll get scattered showers around the bay area and heavier rain by tomorrow morning and maybe an inch to an inch and a quarter around l.a. and san diego starting tomorrow afternoon and lasting through sunday. look at the trough of low pressure swinging down toward the northeast and a lot of wind and light snow, too and the cold air is also getting drawn on the back side of that low and let me

8:42 am
has been that a lot of companies are reluctant to start hiring even though technically, i mean, you wouldn't know it from the b market, but the economy is technically doing very well. in the latest three months it grew almost 6%, 5. % and that's the best growth rate we've seen in six years. sounds good, right? but the action hasn't moved into the job market yet and something we're still watching and companies get nervous about hiring people because if things don't keep growing in the economy that's a lot of extra cost. a man claimed to have psychic powers that he knew what the dow would do next, cheated people out of $6 million. he called himself america's profit, get it, profit? he claims he was trained by monks who taught him how to time travel. this is his website. you see it there. the sec promised big returns and
