shop caught fire. year's watching hln on this saturday morning. as always, it is great to see you. i'm susan hendricks. believe it or not, the month of may starts in just a week. but it's looking a whole lot like january in colorado. a spring storm dropped snow, sleet and rain across the state yesterday. some tornadoes were spotted, too. several apparently touched down in the eastern plains. the good news, no reports of any injuries, or damage. meteorologist bonnie schneider is following this storm system for us today. hey, bonnie. >> hi, susan. we are tracking the threat for severe weather in advance of that same storm system that brought that storm to colorado. now we're running the risk for tornadoes. a high risk at that. and that means that within a 25-mile radius of the areas you see in the darker red, well, that means we have a 30% chance of seeing some sort of tornadic activity break out. a high risk by the storm prediction center is only issued a few times a year. so this is a serious situation that we're watching. those of you that have a noaa weather radio, have it turned on and ready in case a warning is issued for your area.

into law in phoenix yesterday. that requires immigrants to carry their alien registration documents at all times. it also allows police to question anyone they suspect of being in the country illegally. the law also imposes penalties on anyone who knowingly hires or transports illegal immigrant day laborers. critics say it will lead to racial profiling, but governor brewer said she had no choice. >> there is no higher priority than protecting the citizens of arizona. we cannot sacrifice our safety to the murderous greed of drug cartels. we cannot stand idly by as drop houses, kidnappings and violence compromise our quality of life. we cannot delay while the destruction happening south of our board, our international border, creeps its way north. we in arizona have been more than patient waiting for washington to act. >> several groups are already
