says happened when she was accosted at her door. a series of bar brawls overnight --one captured on tape... where police were kept busy running from one fight to another. a call to duty while out campaigning... how two firefighters ended up rescuing tenants of an apartment building. and politicians rally around pot... the event today that could mark the start of marijuana in the mainstream retail market. good evening... i'm ann notarangelo. the latest victim in a series of attacks at an east bay apartment complex is coming forward tonight. all five women assaulted-- live at the park regency apartments in walnut creek. the 900-unit complex is on the 31-hundred block of oak road. linda yee on what the latest victim says happened to her.

cameras, but apparently the attackers were still able to get through, about their security concerns. they would only say no comment. in walnut creek. several people are facing charges after a series of bar brawl, it started around 11:30 friday night twovment hours later, came reports of fighting outside the vice ultra lounge. half an hour after that, another fight at the -- lounge. man was beaten repeatedly, >> the fight was caught on cell phone video, one man was beaten repeatedly and was punched and kicked on the ground. he was hospitalized with head injurys and his attackers fled. one person was arrested at the scene. five other people were arrested in the two earlier fights. police don't believe the fights were related. police are searching tonight for a young woman who was kidnapped early this

morning. investigatorring say 18-year- old stabbed a man inside a home and took took 18-year-old judy law and fled. he also goes by tony. police are looking for the two in a black 2002 lexus with the license plate 6 dsj 1212. >> a police chase that ran the length of the peninsula ended with a suspect in the hospital, but the woman and baby he's accused of kid kidnapping unhurt. from san jose todayly city where he cut across 280 and headed south. he finally crashed on the overpass where he pulled a woman identified as an exgirlfriend out of the pick up and held her at knife point. after only a minute he jumped off the overpas and fell about 30 feet, was taken to the hospital but the woman and 11 month old child in the truck were unhurt.

an 85-year-old woman -- police say 64-year-old driver was traveling on park near university when she hit several cars causing the car to flip over. a police officer witnessed the crash approximate went to help but it took some time to get the woman out. our guess at this point is that speed is going to be one of the primary factors in this particular collision although we haven't determined that for certain at this point. the elderly passenger died at the scene. the driver remains hospitalize. no word on the extent of her injuries. two san jose firefighters proved just how needed they are today. they were con vassing a neighborhood looking for support to save fire department jobs when they spotted smoke. how they jumped in to save the day. >> reporter: by the time fire engines ariferred, flames were roaring out of this fire department, but two firefighters were already on the scene.

they had been in the area campaigning against ballot measure v which could lead to cuts in firefighters pay and pensions when they saw smoke, they ran to the flames. >> the fire department was fully involved when we got here. we had fire coming out the windows and door. >> wearing a t-shirt and shorts and -- dressed in a the t -shirt and scenes. >> they attacked with a garden hose and evacuated a couple of the apartment, shut off the utilitys and awaited for the first ariferring company to get on scene. on the second floor when the floor gave way and he fell to the first separating his shoulder. one apartment was destroyed and three- slay damaged. the loss was about half a million dollars. they are credited with helping about ten people get out. at one point, he went back in. >> one gentlemen was in and needed his medication. i ran and got his medication and came back out. we secured the electrical and

building. some of the fuel got into the sewer system which is being flushed tonight. it is not a danger to humans but it is a risk to wild life. san francisco is one step close tore sending its trash to ewe bah county. according to the chronicle, if board of directors approves a new contract, they would sport transporting the garbage to a different land fill if five years: rightht now the trash goes to a land fill near livermoore but it is running out of room. many say they're looking for ways to boost their economies, one city may have found an answer in med cal marijuana stores. even some politicians are on board. >> the so-called wal-mart of week oakland 60,000 weed grow formerly i grow held a grand reopening today complete with pot products, potting soil and eager politicians.
