a murder. what we do know, he was killed in 1980. scientists believed he was in his late 20s, about 6 feet tall, 180 pounds with blond, wavy hair. he had 11 ribs. most people have 12. his burned body had no internal organs, his skull and leg benefit was found ---- leg bone was found in another location. they are from the same man and police have opened the case. there was another man who was also murdered. they are investigating if all of this is gang real estate lated -- gang related. the search is intensifying for a california student missing in pain. he disappeared a week ago after going to a nightclub at madrid. he's a 22-year-old exchange student from san diego state

university. his classmates says he was too drunk to get into that club so he decided to walk home. he hasn't been seen since. the family is in spain searching for the student along with spanish police and hundreds of volunteers. >> in east bay, police appeared to have an armed serial robber on their hands. the criminal seems to have a thing for 711. in each case the robber had a gun. they have released this photo of the suspect. he robbed at least one of the stores in that city. concord police say if fiscal description of this suspect matches the suspect they are looking for >> a reward is being offered tonight. two men in traditiional beards and turbines were killed while walking on friday. one died and the other is in

likely to be found in people with coronary artery disease. they uncovered 13 new genes that increase the risk of heart attacks. three of those genes affect known risks for heart disease. but the study also uncovered 10 new genes that have not previously been linked to heart problems. the study is the largest ever of its kind, involving 167 scientists from around the world who studied the genetic codes of 140-thousand people. a simple blood test. that's the new way pregnant women can find out if their unborn child will have down syndrome. down syndrome causes delays in cognitive skills. it's caused by having an extra copy of a particular chromosome. expectant mothers usually get an ultrasound to find out if their fetus is at risk. but for an *accurate diagnosis, doctors need to test samples of amniotic fluid or placenta... and those procedures can cause miscarriages. new studies done in europe -- suggest that scientists can spot down syndrome through fetal d-n-a shed into the mother's bloodstream... and avoid the

more invasive procedures. garbage rates: they are rising significantly for residents and businesses in san mateo. beginning april first, the cost to pick up garbage, recyclables and compost will rise 23-percent. the typical home with a 32-gallon container will see its bill jump from 39-dollars, to 48- dollars per quarter. the city council is expected to give final approval for the rate increase tomorrow night. san francisco foodies will soon have even more choices to please their palates. the city is making it easier for mobile food trucks to operate. linda yee is at the department of public works where vendors are lined up to apply for a permit. linda. some of these people have been camping out since friday morning --

between space shuttle discovery and the international space station have closed for the very last time.

prior to the closure, shuttle and space station crews hugged and said their goodbyes. the commander of the space station said discovery has been a great ship and has supported the i-s-s more than any other shuttle. then it was time to close the hatch. discovery undocks from the space station tomorrow morning at 4-am our time. when it returns to earth, it will be retired to a space museum. toss to lk thanks, lawrence louisiana's governor spent
