he is just one of several trapped survivors after a 7-point-2 earthquake h >> rescuers dig through the rubble of the day collapsed building in turkey today to the young boy. he is one of several cap survivors after of 7.2 earthquake hit the eastern part of the country. authorities say the boy is watching rescuers with beer in his eyes as they try to do the collapsed wall. they are doing their best to

keep the boy called his arrest to get him out. and the death toll from the earthquake at this hour stands at 138 but has many other thousand people are feared dead. hundreds huddled together outside in the cold to keep warm. mark phelps with more on the horror and panic spreading after the quake. >> the ground shook board 30 seconds of the quake registered 4.2 on the scale. it was felt over an area of the hundreds of square miles, and it was shallow enough, about 50 miles below the surface, to cause maximum casualties and panic among local residents. the quake was centered in any poor, remote part of eastern turkey near the border with iran, an area prone to frequent earthquake activity. >> we didn't know what to do, this handset. it was terrible. the main population center of the area is closely packed

apartment buildings, many built without modern anti- earthquake precautions. they crumble to rubble. >> my home was completely destroyed. i lost everything, but think of my children were not home. residents said they could hear the cries of those trapped beneath the collapsed building. local rescue workers have been tearing up the rubble by hand looking for survivors. while resources were brought in from around turkey, red cross is playing in water, food, tents, and blankets along with some heaters. survivors were pulled from the rubble in iran, but as night fell with the power out and phone lines down there was little news on the quake toll in the outlying villages of this region. this is the journalist based in istanbul. >> it's incredibly sad to the rescue workers who have to rely on generators, which are allowed, to be able to continue to relieve

mentioned, still in 50's and low 60's. the blog is moving north, is down around monterey bay right now, it should be moving from golden gate until tomorrow morning and right on through the day. as we look at the marine layer, it cools things off pretty dramatically. the monday evening and tuesday, the cooling will continue and by tuesday night the offshore flow rebels across the region and look for that pattern to the rest of the week. and we will see that pushes back tomorrow night is that i'll share for the same. we will lose a lot of what we had this weekend, mid and upper 60's at the beach which is the firecracker where they were this weekend. look for graduate warm-up beginning tuesday to the end of the week with dry conditions expected, right into the weekend, and we do have the
