around the san francisco bay. waves were 10-12 ft. when a larger rogue wave swept for people off the boat yesterday afternoon. the remaining crew tried to turn around to rescue those people when the boat ran aground. here is the view from a coast guard helicopter. the coast guard and national guard rescued three members who were clinging to rocks about 300 ft. from where their boat was breaking up. another crew member was unfortunately found dead. the survivors were wearing life tests and cold weather gear and that provides hope that for people still missing may still be found alive >> 3 of the people who were previously rescued were found on the rocks out of the water which is important so we're hoping that the other individuals have also been able to get to the

rocks out of the water. >> this morning to national guard helicopters are searching the area as we speak. two coast guard ships are joining in that search headed to the area. an update on the yacht that was hit by a rogue wave last month, it is heading right now to the panama canal. it and nine other boats set sail from oakland yesterday morning taking part in and around the world klipper race. the yacht was headed to oakland from china two weeks ago when the massive wave hit it. some crewmembers were seriously injured. they're all back on board except for one of them. five people are dead and nearly 30 are hurt after several tornadoes hit the midwest and plains states. here is video of a multi vortexes tornado. more than one dozen twisters have been reported.

>> here is a look at this morning's top stories. this morning the coast guard and the national guard are continuing to search for missing sailors. three others were rescued after their yacht ran aground yesterday. one crew member was found dead. oakland is getting extra patrol on international boulevard coming from off-duty security guards who call themselves the bay area street safety patrol. five people died overnight in a tornado northwest of oklahoma city. more than one dozen twisters have hit four states and forecasters are warning of more severe weather.
