the newsroom. there it is. the t-shirts we have been waiting for. it's funny. we waited 1958 the giants came here from san francisco. we waited for our 2010 first world series and then just two years later. >> both teams had to overcome so much. they lost their second baseman for the whole season. ryan wilson the closer was lost throughout the majority of the season. they lost a left fielder because he tested positive for steroids. they overcame so much. that's why i think they were underrated going into that world series. great pitching, great defense wins every time. that's what happens. >> let's continue with the story. thousands of fans showed the memorable moments at the san francisco civic center. elizabeth cook is out there where they are still celebrating the wins. elizabeth? way. >> all right, thank you. roberta has been following sandy in our own weather forecast for us. roberta? >> yes, with sandy, again, you have to remember that the winds do extend now out 510 miles, which is just unconceivable, making it the second largest hurricane in the atlantic ocean. that's what it looks like, 510 miles. let's see if it is windy here in san francisco with the storm. those winds could stretch all the way south as far as san diego. that's how much this hurricane is picking up at this particular time. what randall was referring to is just the outer edge edges are swooping across -- outer edges of new york are swooping across. as far as the path is concerned, it will take a little bit of a curve to the east and then move on shore making landfall. somewhere around atlantic city. that's what we do anticipate. a foot of rain easily. chester peak bay has already seen that with the big hurricane. the wind gust will be up to 70

10:17 pm
parade on wednesday. it all comes down to timing as we are calling on the future cast. this is just clearly indicating that we have the return of the stratus in the reform of the marine layer. the low clouds, patchy fog. perhaps we'll see some airport delays tomorrow morning, due to the very low filling. otherwise no clearing at the day today. this will affect the temperatures. bringing them back down into the 60s at the beaches into half moon bay. otherwise 60s, 70s coming around the peninsulas. jumping into the low to mid 70s. approaching 80 in gilroy. outside numbers will be east of inland areas. 80 degrees at danville and pleasanton. 67 degrees in san francisco. here's your extended forecast. timing, timing on wednesday. right now it looks like the rain will begin in the north bay during the afternoon hours. everybody gets wet by evening.
10:18 pm
right now it looks like the parade is expected to be at 11:00 in the morning, which means we could buy a little bit of a break during our celebration, but mostly cloudy and cooler. a little bit on the breezy side, but i don't think that anyone is going to notice. >> no one is going to care. >> except the trick or treaters. >> garbage bags over the costumes. >> thank you. >> there you go. >> we'll be right back.
