for a little girl missing fm say this is kpix5 news on kbcw. breaking news. an amber alert has been issued for a little girl missing and police say they have gotten reports of similar recent kidnappings. our andrea is live now. andrea, what have you learned so far? >> this happened around 7:00 tonight in the driveway of the home you see behind me that is covered in police tape and fronted by antioch police cars. tell kpix5 the suspects in a late 90s gold toyota camry followed natalie and her mother home from wal-mart. pulled a rifle on the mother and little girl. and sped off. now we're hearing that the driver is possibly of mixed race. two men involved. both had facial hair. possibly there were two similar abduction attempts last night at the wal-mart that these suspects followed natalie and

her family home from tonight. of course, natalie is seven years old. she is 3 feet tall. this happened around 7:00 p.m. tonight. now, here's what neighbors and police had to say. >> her mother attempted to stop the male from abducting her daughter and when she approached him, the male produced what's been described as a rifle and the mom stopped. he was able to force the child into the car and then fled the scene. >> it's sad. you hear about it and see in the movies. you never think it would happen so close to home. especially right in our neighborhood. >> now chp has activated anamber amber alert. two men possibly late 30s or 40s with facial hair, possibly of mixed race. here is the picture of natalie again. this is who they are looking for. this is who they say was

abducted out of her driveway at gunpoint around 7:00 tonight on humming bird lane. we are getting more information by the moment in this case. as soon as we have more, we'll bring it to you, kpix5. >> new at 10:00, an arrest is made in the death of a san francisco tourist that made headlines all over the world. dante, one of california's most wanted is now in custody for the 2010 shooting. he is one of several accused in the death of a german woman visiting with her family for her birthday. joe vasquez on how laws was spotted and captured. >> captured, 21-year-old, davante is in jail after seeing his pictures and called in an unanimous tip. the u.s. marshals led task force, the local state and law enforcement group we profiled in november arrested him yesterday after a tipster reported seeing him in heyward. >> investigators received a tip. set up surveillance and noticed

somebody that looked just like mr. laws. began to follow that individual and approached him at a gas station and turned out to be mr. laws. >> accessory to murder in a case that made international news. august 2010, 50-year-old, a tourest from germany, was in san francisco with her family to celebrate her birthday and anniversary. two groups opened fire on each other outside a union square nightclub. she was killed in the cross fire. seven people associated with the murder have been in jail for two years now awaiting trial, but laws eluded law enforcement until yesterday. >> credit to the task force and working together in order to bring a fugitive to justice. >> the marshals had 11,000 hits on their most wanted site in less than a month. five people are marked as captured, but most resulted from investigations already in the works. delaware van they is the first arrest come directly from the new most wanted website.

the u.s. marshal service is hoping there will be many more. in san francisco, joe vasquez, kpix5. >> u.s. marshals task force says it made 750 arrests in the bay area in just the last year. >> an emotional day for everyone involved with the fight to keep an oakland teen on a ventilator. both sides reached an agreement. jahi's family and children's hospital agreed to move the teen to another facility. a judge ruled that he will not force the hospital to insert feeding and breathing tubes before her transfer. the family plans to do that with independent doctors. >> this is a victory in terms of getting us one step closer to move. >> wouldn't it be great if they were able to come to terms with a terrible tragic event and i didn't have to stand here in front of you all. time after time. >> alameda county coroner's office issued a death certificate for jahi saying she died on december 12. that's the day she was declared

brain dead. san francisco police are cracking down on speeders and jaywalkers following a string of pedestrian accidents this week. tonight, motorcycle cops were on patrol near hyde and leavenworth. people caught crossing the street illegally were chased down and sited for jaywalking. we saw one officer scold a driver for texting while stopped at a red light. the lower knob hill area has been a hot spot for pedestrian related collisions this week. just this morning, a person was hit while jogging across bush street. the victim suffered serious injuries after a jeep struck him in the crosswalk. five pedestrians have been hit in san francisco in just the past four days. >> and a few hours ago, a bicyclist was taken to the hospital after being hit by a car. this is in san francisco's soma neighborhood. the impact of the collision caused the windshield to crumble. no word on the condition of the

bicyclist. >> fremont police are crack down on illegal street racing. police have been getting complaints over the past few months about it. they say as many as 300 cars gather in parking lots in the pacific commons area on friday nights for a car show. but then turns into racing. police are concerned someone could get hurt or killed. >> we are here out all night. we're going to be here and we want to let everyone know that again, we're not going to tolerate the side show activity and the street racing that occurred in december. >> officers have set up a command post tonight and they are handing out fliers warning that street racing will not be tolerated. santa clara county has had its first swine flu death this season. health officials say a 41-year- old woman died shortly before christmas. they say people shouldn't take the flu lightly. >> flu is a very serious illness that can be a really bad bug and every year, many people die from flu. >> in marin county, ten people

tested positive for the strain. health officials are urging people to get vaccinated. they say younger people are being affected. back in 2009 when swine flu was first discovered, almost 20,000 people died worldwide. temperatures are plummeting well below freezing after the northeast was walloped by a massive snowstorm. the storm is being blamed for at least 15 deaths. nationwide, at least 2200 flights were canceled today, including a couple dozen at sfo. and times square, which was packed a few days ago for new year's eve looked more like a ghost town today. cbs reporter, adriana diaz says people haven't seen temperatures drop this low in two decades. >> it's not the newly fallen snow that people in boston are talking about now. >> i am pretty cold. >> it's very cold. by early saturday morning, boston could see temperatures of 6 below zero.

sharing that information with advertisers. it claims the company is in direct violation of federal and state privacy laws. facebook says the allegations lack any merit. >> privacy policies from these large companies tend to be very expansive and blanketing. so it covers a lot behaviors that we, the consumers may not be aware of, including possibly looking at private messages. >> the lawsuit is seeking unspecified damages. attorneys fees, and a court injunction to stop facebook from doing what the plaintiffs claim is being done. turns out, that megamillions jackpot winner in san jose didn't know he won. ryan with how he finally figured it out weeks later. >> here is the winning ticket worth $324 million. the winner, steve, took the cash option worth $173 million

very frigid air mass getting ready to work its way down. that air pours into the midwest early next wind and windchill temperatures as low as 70 below. we will be basking in warmth at that time. sunny conditions through the weekend. spare the air day tomorrow. no surprise. south bay has unhealthful numbers of particlats. mid 30s to 50 and the dry spell may be broken with just a brief dousing of a few showers, maybe tuesday and wednesday. we'll see. and then high pressure builds back in. that's not good news. for tomorrow, if you're heading out, sunshine and a high of 62. elsewhere, there's snow forecast for chicago and 32 degrees. denver looks like snow and 36. for us, above average again by as much as 10 degrees out in the east bay. south bay in the mid 60s. in the east bay, liver more comes in with 69 degrees. up in the north bay, 60s as
