hear more from rachel coming up tonight at 10. tim: an ida grove business was evacuated this morning after a fire broke out there this morning. employees in the powder coating line at midwest industries vacuated and no injuries took place. while there was damage to the facility the extent of the damage to the facility the extent of the damage is not fully known at this time. there was a great deal of smoke throughout the facility, however there was no other fire damage. midwest is working to review damage and have already begun to plan repairs. tim: kentucky senator rand paul spoke at morningside college this morning. paul is completing his "10-thousand college tour" through iowa.

his goal is to get 10-thousand college students to caucus for him. paul says he believes he can hit that goal....because he's campaigning for issues that he says affect millenials. 'i think the drug war has gone way overboard and we actuallty do have people in jail for maurijuana offenses and i think that's crazy. we'll also talk quite a bit about the war because i think the people that end up fighting the war are the young people or our country." said (r-ky) senator rand paul, gop presidential candidate. he also discussed the nsa's surveillance of billions of american's phone records. and the need to reduce the national debt. his tour was definitely geared towards a younger crowd...with the slogan "students stand with rand." tim: presidential hopeful bernie sanders is getting a financial boost from tuesday's democratic debate. sander's campaign has raised one- point-nine million dollars since the end of the debate. campaign aides say a big portion has come from the email sent out on sander's comments defending hillary clinton and her emails scandal. sanders' campaign also sent a fundraising email before the debate.

they say including those funds...sanders raised more than two-million dollars in one day. tim: and following clinton's big night on the debate stage...a former political heavy weight is in iowa today rally support for clinton. former secretary of state, madeleine albright campaigned on hillary clinton's behalf this morning in sioux city. she spoke at a "hillary for iowa" organizing event at the peirce mansion. albright says she thought hillary did well on the debate stage...and believes she has what it takes to be the next president. "she works very very hard and is really smart and she is going to roll up her sleeves and do it. so i think she is the very best candidate, not only now, but of anybody i've seen in terms of running for president and preparation," said madeleine albright, former u.s. secretary of state. albright spoke to a crowd of over 70 people. but she wasn't the only one hoping to sway voters in sioux city. tim:

city...is losing a popular staple. al woudstra...who once owned the woudstra meat market....is retiring after more than 7 decades behind the counter. deborah souverain joins us now with more. tim al woudstra knows his customers on a first name basis...and can even remember their favorite cuts of meat. but after a lifetime on the job...he's starting a new chapter natpop -- "thanks margaret" he knows his customers by name... "i started in this meat market when i was 15 years old," said al woudstra now 87 year's old... al woudstra is retiring after 72 years...as the counter man at this orange city, iowa meat market that bares his name. "i've enjoyed my work here very much," said woudstra. first established in 1925 by his father jim. al....has worked through 4 different owners at the woudstra meat market...including his own. souverain abc 9 news. tim: a group that wants to legalize casino gambeling at nebraska race tracks is set to begin gathering at nebraska race tracks is set to begin gathering signatures to place the issue on the 2016 ballot. keep the money in nebraska announced today that the plan is to as voters to sign three petitions. one of them is a proposed constitutional amendment to allow games of chance. another would let folks know where casions would be placed, and how they would be regulated. the third would impose a 20% tax on gross gambling revenues. 75% of that going to the state and the remaining 25% would go to local governments where the casinos are located. former state sen. scott lautenbaugh, a spokesman for the group, says the state has lost billions of dollars in recent years to neighboring iowa and south dakota, where gambling is legal. tim: it's been nearly 6 years since the track ahletes at bishop heelan have had a place
