once you enter downtown sioux city on i-29...things start to get a little congested. natpop - segment one will be finished, like i said earlier, this year and our focus is segment two. segment two..the downtown area...is being expanded from 4 lanes into six. the on, off ramps are also getting upgrades. it was part of a 10 year project that would end in 2018...but iowa d-o-t transportation planner dakin schultz says that's no longer the case. "because of some constructibility issues last year with the bridges along bacon creek southbound and floyd boulevard southbound we ended up having to extend our completion into the end of 2019. and whwhe the d-o-t ususlly re-opens closed lanes on i-29 during the winter...thihi year...things are just getetng flipped around. "there expectation is to switch traffic this year. so move that interstate traffic into those new southbound lanes and then they will close the north bound lanes over winter. " said dakin schultz, iowa dot district transportation planner. news of the expansion, didn't set well with one driver i spoke to who works near the southbound floyd blvd exit. "it stops right at the end of our building. they extended it another year so we can't do much with our lot anymore," said daniel stephens, works near i-29 construction. as crews continue to lay fresh pavement...to wrap up the last portion of the 400 million dollar project. drivers will have to be patient...and hope things move according to the

failure in the garage. tim: a sioux city man is guilty of sexual exploitation by a school employee. the verdict against 30 year old erick deleon came back today, after evidence showed deleon started an innappropriate relatitiship with a 16 year old female student at north high school. deleion was the educational spspialist who ran a school program and was also an assistant boys' soccer coach at west high school. phone numbers of the students and the program direor were exchanged as part of the program. sentencing is set for december 1st tim: meanwhile a storm lake man gets 15 years behind bars for forcing his wife to terminate two pregnancies. 55 year old tony lee was found guilty of two counts of forced consent to termination of human pregnancy and two counts of assault. according to court documents, lee forced his wife to take pills that ended her pregnancy on two separate occacaons he also seseally
