marco rubio after his strong showing in this week's debate. bria joins us now with more. tim: the republican national committee is suspending its presidential debate with n-b-c news. r-n-c chairman reince priebus announced it in open letter today he said that's because of the way n-b-c's sister network, c-n-b-c, handled its debate on wednesday. they said that some moderators' questions were just plain offensive... while others were "gotcha" questions designed to embarrass the candidates. priebus said the r-n-c still plans to have the debate in houston on february 26-th. but at this point, only the conservative national review magazine is guaranteed to be part of it. n-b-c says it'll try to resolve the matter with the r-n-c. jenna: newly-elected house speaker paul ryan says he's done with his presidential ambitions. he told cnn's dana bash today he has no interest in running for the white house. " " " if i really wanted to be president, i would have run in this cycle for the presidency. i had the

chance and opportunity to do so. i chose not to do that. so i'm perfectly happy and content with this decision." ryan was elected house speaker yesterday but he originally said he's not interested in that job either-- and he later changed his mind. bria: senator marco bria: senator marco rubio was a crowd pleaser as he received a standing ovation at the gop rally this evening. he discussed his concerns on state taxes, social security, medicare and medicade all while jokingly stating that he was not for anything that would not benefit his mother...whom which receives social security. in the latest gop debate, it seemed as if former govenor jeb bush and senator marco rubio went head-to-head. but rubio says he's not worried about the other republicans because his main task is to make sure it's no easy ride into the white house for the democratic party. "i've never said anything negative about him and i won't. i'm running for president, i'm not running against the

other republicans," said rubio. an ongoing theme in rubio's message was change. he advocated that future of america depends on a shift in leadership. "what i really would hate is to wake up on the first wednesday of november to the news that hillary clinton is our new president. because that means the next four years are going to be like the next 8 years and america can't afford it," said rubio. rubio says values, faith, and family are his top priorities. and he wants to bring that to the white house. "that's why it's so important to have a president that clearly says, that many of the problems we face in america are the direct result of an errosion of values and the degradation of the american family, said rubio. bria: there's 94 days left until the iowa caucuses are in full effect and everyone in attendance was excited to witness their candidate address the issues that america cares about. live in studio, bria bell abc 9 news. tim: this morning the

""it takes a special person to be a bus driver." robert scarbrough didn't even last a semester as a school bus driver for the school district in johnston when he allegedly assaulted a boy with special needs. but he went through all proper training. when they're first hired ... bus drivers get one-on-one attention with a trainer who's also a driver. "everything from bus mechanics, radio etiquette, etiquette with the kids." the kids go through their own training too ... called the positive behavior intervention sysm -- be respectful, be responsible and be safe. it goes for both the driver and the students.

"they're advised to pull over, stop the bus, call the district transportation office and say i need assistance. the transportation office calls the johnston police department and they come out to assist however they can." assistants can also help manage the situation for the driver. scarbrough didn't have one on his route. standup: "the district says in a perfect world they would have an assistant on every single bus route, but because they provide transportation to every student no matter where they live, it's something they can't afford." the ultimate question: did scarbrough do anything according to protocol before everything escalated? "when the driver felt a need to speak with students, he correctly pulled the bus over and stopped the bus so that there were no dangers of any kind, no moving violations."" they say he also radioed dispatch at one point ... but what he said and at what point is still under investigation. jenna: there are various trainings throughout the year for drivers as well, some monthly, some on

and video service. "our copper based network that we have now works fantastically, but it's a network that's a little bit sensative to distance, so customers who are closer to an office, may be able to get faster speeds than customers that are further away. this fiber optic project will eliminate that restriction completely, allowing all of our customers access to the same services" says heath mallory, wiatel general manager. the company says this new fiber network goes beyond the govenor's current broadband initiatives. construction is set to start by the summer, with hopes of having all customers with full service within 24 to 30 months. jenna: a new youtube video out of north high in sioux city might well go viral. check out what their teachers lled off as a "treat" to students this halloween. thriller music playing as teachers start to dance. that's the faculty at north high dancing to
