" jenna: auththities have released thehe names of two people killed in a car crash in sioux city yesterday that involved a stolen car. jenna: authorities say that 34 year old jonas rouillard and 28 year old autumn flowers were killed in that crash. both were from sioux city. police say that rouillard was driving. the two were kill yesterday afternoon after the stolen car they were in struck another vehicle at a high rate of speed before hitting a tree and flipping over. authorities are still investigatininthe accident and working to determine how the stolen car came into their possession. jenna: not everyone has the means or the ability to get their home ready for winter. and although it's nice now... the cold will be here before you know it. rachel ramos has more about a wakefield, nebraska-based agency that weatherizes houses. rachel: jenna, the northeast nebraska community action partnership has created a weatherization program that

uses a scientific approach to target areas in the home that heed to be sealed so tt it is ready for winter. through the use of diagnostic equipment such as blower doors, manometers, pressure pans and thermal imaging guns, the weatherization crew of northeast nebraska is able to reduce the amount of energy lost throughout the home and save people hundreds of dollars in the process. "utility bills and different homes, we e have saved over 18 up t t47 percent....we do a lot of good for people and it's nice to get the wororout about what we do," said pam browning, weatherization coordinator. in addition to insulating walls, the n-e-n-c-a-p weatherization program stresses the importance of health and safety in the household by assessing indoor air quality and by looking for mold and moisture problems. this program is built for low income families who can't cover the hihi costs of heating. eligible low income participants can file an application online. rachel:

i spoke earlier with a nebraska resident who has reaped the benefits of this unique weatherization grant. hear what she had to say about the program tonight at 6. jenna: college students now days are getting creative to pay their costs for higher education. in cedar rapids... a senior at coe college, is turning to crowd funding to help him get to college. brea love explains why that could be a game changer when it comes to paying for an education. "currently, a coe college student pays more than 47 thousand dollars for one year's tuition. the private college offers financial aid and scholarships, but this year, spanish major erie french has to pay for college on his own. erie french / coe college senior "i talked d my mom about it. i told h h mom, we're going to have to come up with some money for the first time. she just urged god's brought you this far, he's not going to abandon you now." french attended high school in southern california. he says he didn't

consider coe, until he was offered a diversity leadership scholarship for four years. when french needed a fifth year, his scholarship ran out. "just trying to find a way do what i have to do to make sure i finished what t started fiveveears ago." at the start of this semester, french enrolled in a work study program, and found another job working for cedar pids day school. he says during the job search he fell behind on tuition payments. french says he won't be able to sign up for his final semester, if he can't pay off tuition by november 17th. so he decided to start a gofundme page. within five days he's already half way toward his goal of 17 hundred dollars. "i"ias on the verge of tears, it was realal exciting for me. i don't know if i i could really quantify how grateful i am." coe college said in a statement that it does offer tuition discounts for students and financial counselors for guidance, but cannot comment on a specific student's situation. french says graduating is very important, because he wants to set an example.

at the orpheum... folks have the chance to see a cumentary movie that recognizes thehe heroism of soldiers and will help raiseunds for a wounded veterans at the same time. jim miller joins me with more on the movie called "the hornets nest". fundraiser for wounded vetera at orpheum (sioux city, ia) an acclaimed film that recognizes the heroism of soldiers will help raise funds for a wounded veteran. "the hornet's nest" will be shown on thursday, november 5th at the orpheum. money raised will go to o e landen projecec which was started by projects for patriots to help a local wounded veteran with upgrades to his home to accommodate his injuries suffered during his deployment. the showing of the film is free, but organizers will be accepting free-will donations. any extra monene raised will bebe used to help others with
