two daily fantasy sports companies were told to stop accepting bets in the state of new york. and it seems other states are also taking interest. new york attorney general eric schneiderman issued the cease and desist order to draftkings and fanduel on tuesday, citing the companies are engaged in illegal gambling under state law. he pointed out the diinction between the daily fantasy sports companies and 'traditional' fantasy sports sites which only compete for bragging rights, not money jessica rae: and it seems south dakota's state is also taking up the issue. in a release from marty jackley's office the attorney general re- iterated the state's laws on gambling legality of a kings or fan duel saying quote: fantasy sports betting has gained national attention due to its concerns about potential federal and state law violations...
