abc9 news reporter bria bell spoke to a parent who is lashing out a the school... she has more bria ... bria: i spoke to several parents and gradnparents who are frustrated with how firdays events played out d say it should have been handled a lot better. "when you give care control and custody of your kids to the school, you expect them to behave in the best interest of the child and their staff," said rice. sioux city community school district's superindentent, dr. paul gausman is receiving backlash from parents due to the district's failure to let students out early during friday's snow storm... which produced 6 inches of snow in sioux city and had nearly 40 reported car accidents. kristi rice is angry at the school district as two of her kids, who need special assistance, were on a school bus that was hit 4 times while stuck in traffic. "my youngest, he's austistic. the other kids on this bus have issues, not all of them, there's some typicals, but you've got some profound kids on this bus that in school would have a one-on-one aid with them," said rice. rice says that her kids were terrified

from those of the school district's. reporting live in studio, bria bell abc 9 news. the sioux city police department has arrested a suspect in the armed robbery at k and n automotive. police arrested reagan maryland in connection withhe crime. a man entered the store to have his car worked on... but when they went to look at the vehicle he pulled a gun on the employee and took his wallet. police found the vehicle from the robbery on sunday... and maryland was taken in for questiwning. he has been charged with robbery in the 1st gree. jessica rae: today marked an important date in american history ... president john f. kennedy was assassinated in dallas, texas 52 years ago. the president and first lady were in the lone-star state for a five- city campaign tour ahead of the 1964 general election... he was killed after bullets s struck his head d and d ck area while ding in his open limousine. police arrested lee harvey oswald shortly after the shooting... oswald himself was then shot and killed on live television two days later

lukas: and dozens of people in west des moines are spreading holiday cheer one gift at a time. people packed boxes full of goodies as part of their annual "operation christmas child". the goal is to fill shoe boxes with toys, school supplies, and hygeine products to at-risk children around the world. today they hosted a "packing party" where families with special needs helped pack some of these special gifts. winning season. it's time for change at iowa state. paul rhoads has been fired as head coach of the cyclones. the decision was made official earlier today by iowa state athletic director jamie pollard. rhoads has been the head man in ames since 2009, posting a 32-54 record. isu is 3-8 this season, with the firing coming on the heels of yesterday's metldown against kansas state. rhoads will speek at his weekly press conference tomorrow, fore coaching iowa state's season finale against west virginia on saturday. some more coaching news....south dakota head football coach joe glenn has announced his retirement.
