season with gift giving and holiday fare. but with this comes an upexpected health risk. holly firfer has more in today's health minute. " " thholidays are a time for family and good cheer, but it's also a time when we see a rise in heart attacks. doctors think the main reason may be stress and a change in our healthy routines. but there are simple steps we can take for a heart healthy holiday. as you head to holiday parties, fill up on vegetables. overeating is often inevitable this time of year, but don't forget the veggies. and when you reach for the desserts - try not to overdo it. we don't want to overload our system with fat. try to keep an eye on the salt. when our sodium levels get too high, this can raise our blood pressure. and don't drink too much alcohol, this raises the risk for heart rhythm problems and heart attacks. men should have no more than 2 alcoholic beverages a day and women just one. if you're trying to quit smoking, if possible, do it before the holidays. and don't put exercise on the back burner. fit it in when you can.

burnham had debated retiring last year, before deciding to coach one final season. chris: i'm not one to complain about fred's seven day forecast hitting the 50s in december, but it doesn't quite compare to the mid 70s right now in daytona beach. the morningside mustangs are yet again just one win away from a spot in the russell athletic bowl down in florida, but getting over that hump the last two years has been a struggle. this is the fourth straight seasons morningside has played in the semifinals, and the mustangs have lost three of those four contests, including the last two. back in 2013, ryan kasdorf was unable to play due to injury and the mustangs fell 35-0 to eventual national champs grand view. last year, the stangs had a 2 touchdowowowad in the second quarter on marian before giving up 35 unanswered points. morningside has used that disappointment to fuel them all season long and has a chance to finish it off tomorrow. steve ryan--"we haven't talked at all about the last few years, but you know i think they went into this year and they did not like the way they finished last season. so you know
