counts of driving under the influence..resulti ng in serious bodily injury. abc 9's lukas voss met with victim's family today ... lukas? in: thank you deborah ... it was the early morning hours of january 19th, 2014 ... tami allison got a call ... the call that nobody wants to get ... there has been an accident ... your two daughters are involved ... from there it's blank.for some ... charges and the nearing of a sentencing brings closure ... for tami ... it's the opposit ... sot: "it was very emotionally draining on all of us and it was hard ... it was reliving the accident really ..." vo: the accident that changed tami's life forever. her daughter tiffany schmitt was killed ... at the hands of a drunk driver ... the unthinkable happened and it struck without warning. " " a fox news poll released sunday shows texas senator, ted cruz leading the gop presidential field in iowa -- the first state to vote in the presidential nominating process --- with 28 percent and trump in second place with 26 percent. on saturday, the des moines register and bloomberg politics released their own poll showing cruz ahead of trump 31 to 21 percent. the sudden surge comes just a week after the new york times released audio of cruz speaking at a

trump and ben carson's judgment to lead america. in a taped one-on-one interview with cnn's jake tapper today, trump responded to those comment. he has been in contact with royalty from around the world, including the queen of the netherlands, the princess of sweden and prince williams. deborah there were nearly one thousand incidents involving drones...and other manned aircrafts over a perido of less than two years. that's according to a report by bard college's center for the study of the drone. of those incidents....327 were considered "close encounters,"....me aning drones coming within five hundred feet of an aircraft. the cases were recorded between december 2013 and september of this year. aside from the close encounters, there were 594 sightings in which drones were spotted near or within manned aircraft flight paths....but did not pose a danger of collision. the report used

administration and department of interior. deborah people puckered up in georgia to attempt a world record: the most couples kissing under the mistletoe at once. two hundred and one couples - participated in the event at six flags over georgia saturday night. they joined hands and kissed for at least ten seconds under springs of mistletoe. it was all part of the "holiday in the park" celebration. pictures from the event showed an official guinness world records plaque commemorating the occasion. deborah: diners at the sioux city minerva's got a special visit from santa claus today. besides santa's visit, attendees could also purchase ornaments for one dollar. ronald mcdonald house charities will receive the money generated from sales of the ornaments as well as 20% of today's brunch sales. money raised will be used to help purchase toiletry items for families during their stay at the ronald mcdonald house.

" one day i kind of just thought about cleaning up the poop and putting it in a box and that's what i did. i put it in there, and taped it up and wrote the address on it and it sat out there for four days and they finally came and got it." it all went down thursday at about 1:30pm. the surveillance camera above the front door captures the man taking the box - while the camera above the garage reveals his accomplice. fed-up with all the recent reports of local package theft - eric burdo felt dog poop was the perfect way to tell thieves - stay away. not only was eric trying to teach them a lesson, he also wanted to make sure new surveillance cameras were in good spots. eric's home is near charleston and nellis boulevard. he says he bought the cameras because someone broke into his car a few months after he moved in. eric put the package on his porch - sunday - but it wasn't taken until thursday. that's when he sat through the surveillance video - shocked at how young the perpetrators looked. he expected them to be much older. he says he purposely left police out of the situation.
