us this midday. i'm jessica rae. we're learning more today about a gruesome discovery in rural northeast nebraska yesterday afternoon, now it appears a second body has been found in a burned out truck near pierce. jessica rae: authorities got the call after a vehicle was spotted on fire in a field about 10 miles outside of town around three yesterday afternoon. after they got the fire out, investigators say they discovered the remains of two people in the cab of the charred pick-up truck. now, investigators say they're working to determine their identities and cause of death. " the scene was processed and now its a current investigation and an autopsy will be performed sometime today on the two sets of remains that were found in the vehicle." the nebraska state patrol and the state fire marshal's office were called in to help investigate. the state patrol says the vehicle was still smoldering and

yesterday evening. stay tuned to abc9 news as we continue to follow the developments in this story jessica rae: donald trump's lead over ted cruz has shrunk to just four percentage points in the second national poll after last week's republican debate. jessica rae: a quinnipiac poll released today has trump at 28 percent support... with cruz nipping at his heels with 24 percent. following that pair is marco rubio with 12 percent support... ben carson with 10 percent... chris christie with six percent.... and jeb bush with four percent. quinnipiac's national polling has consistently shown lower support for trump than other national phone polls, and that seems to be the case again in this survey. in most polls, trump's national lead has stretched to new heights, with some recent surveys showing more than 40 percent of republican voters would support him today. jessica rae: speaking of the race to the white house will donald trump need to apologize for an offensive remark about hillary clinton? abc's bazi kanani is in washington with the latest.

"like floods, tornadoes, and winter storms, it's important that we be prepared to respond to a significant cyber attack should one occur" the update to the state's emergency reponse plan will be part of a broader iowa cyber security strategy as requested by the governor in his executive order." jessica rae: governor branstad also formed a state cyber working group last december to expand on the work that was being done at the national level. that group is made up of state agencies, federal and private partners. jessica rae: iowa's safe at home program is now taking applications to give domestic violence victims a substitute address. leutenient governor kim reynolds says it's a big step to keep victim's real address from appearing on public records, making them harder to find. jessica rae: the act provides secure access to mail for victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, trafficking and stalking

"the idea came up that we could buy gifts for each one of the kids there in her memory and it's been fun going out, i love to shop," said folkers. jessica rae: the gift sacks are being donated to the head start program that alicia used to work at. and authorities are still looking for leads in alicia's case. if you have any information, call the clay county sheriff's office.
