jessica rae: a ban on public poultry exhibits due to the 2015 avian flu outbreak has been lifted. the iowa department of agriculture and land stewardship... lifted thean on january first. it was put in place back in may... following unprecedented outbreak of avian flu. over 30 million birds were infected with the disease in iowa.... halting all county and state fair exhibits...including auctions. all infected sites have now been deemed " "u free". "everybody is optimisitic. the back into business, good to be around folks like that... on to 2016" iowa was hit the hardest among with 77 poultry operations disease. federal and state agencies paid out to clean up and farms. million dollars prproducer income. jessica let's check in with
