what does it mean for u.s. markets and your money? and golden globes. the surprising winners. best dressed. the moment between lady gaga and leonardo dicaprio. and ricky gervais not holding back. going after hollywood. good morning on this monday morning. we begin with that breaking news. the death of entertainment legend david bowie. >> the multitalented english singer, song writer, producer. he did so much. he was an actor and a painter. he died after an 18-month battle with cancer. he's been a driving force in pop culture, reinventing himself several times and his music over the course of nearly 50 years. winning numerous awards, including two grammys and a daytime emmy. >> got really comfortable going on stage as somebody else. and it seemed a rational

tohe drug lord's extradition process to the u.s. from mexico has begun. and here it is. what officials say led to the recapturing of mexico's most wanted drug lord. "rolling stone" magazine releasing proof of a secret meeting held three months ago between joaquin guzman, infamously known as el chapo, and academy award-winning actor sean penn. after running from mexican authorities for six months, el chapo rearrested. on friday after a bloody shootout and sewer escape. whisked away to a waiting chopper. while handcuffed. his face twisted toward the cameras for the world to see. when el chapo wasn't bragging about his drug deals, the kingpin was trying to land a movie deal about his life. shopping the idea around to hollywood producers and actors. recording this video. the gun control feud that is escalating between clinton and sanders. clinton lambasted sanders on "face the nation" yesterday for his past support for legislation protecting gun manufacturers from liability for shootings. sanders says his record with the nra has hardly been stellar. >> let us be very clear again. i understand that in the last weeks of a campaign, a panicked clinton campaign now suddenly says, bernie sanders is a stooge of the nra. well, some stooge. i got a d-minus lifetime voting record from the nra. >> meantime, hillary clinton has racked up a couple more endorsements. from planned parenthood and from former arizona congresswoman gabby giffords and her husband, mark kelly, based almost entirely on her stance on gun control. >> and gun control will be part of the state of the union tonight. the president preparing for tomorrow night's, rather, state
