championship for challenge in robotics. stem, or science, engineering, and mathmatics club compete against one another with their homemade eight stem clubs competed...with robots having to kenetic tasks like picking up and placing keys into a bucket, climbing a ramp, and even switching levers...all for points that could building the ultimate robot task. " robots, it's also and community service. the teams go infront of judges their plan, how they design, and using notebook as evidence. and then they also talk about how they have served their community, it's not just about building the robot although focus. they still school and their trend as several multiple teams in the competition. lukas things were rockin' at the night.

the second annual memorial a-l-s benefit concert drew a packed bands hitting the stage to help raise money and awareness for a-l-s. one band "number 7 band" was glad to be back to help. "we're hopefully going to raise alot more money than last year which and it's just great opportunity to get everybody, get an awareness event and raise some cause." says heath babis, lead guitar player of the no. 7 band. the opportunity to place bids on memorabilia... from autographed pictures of n-f-l pro peyton manning to singer jimmy buffett. all up for grabs auction. peter godee passed away right after last year's event-- members say that he would have wanted the event to continue. all money raised...just over 14-thousand dollars... will stay here in northwest iowa to help those battling a-l-s lukas musicians in need received a welcomed gift at the sioux city music conservatory this weekend.

instruments were donated to those wanting to play ... but unable to because of instrument rental fees. instruments of all kinds were donated including guitars, trumpets and a clarinet. donations can be made year round... but... every valentine's day, the conservatory asks the community for more donations with the slogan - "have a heart for music"...
