" " lukas good morning and thanks for joining us this midday. i'm lukas voss ... authorities in sac county are searching for a man wanted for attmpted murder after striking a man with his car lukas the sac county sheriff's office is looking for 36 year old jeremy allen werneburg of ida grove . authorities say he struck a glidden man with his car on sunday night in carnarvon. the victim in this case was transported to an area hospital with serious injuries. werneburg is described as a white male 6'3" 205 lbs. anyone with information on the whereabouts of werneburg is asked to call 911 or the sac county sheriff's office at 712-662-7127. lukas the attorney for an emmet county teen accused of shooting another teen this past summer has decided not to seek a change of veunue the attoey for lee christensen filed a notice with the court that he does not seek to move the teen's murder trial out of emmet county at this time, but may do so if he feels that he cannot find an impartial jury. christensen is accused of killing 19-year-old thomas bortvit in

sioux city today as part of her series of of stem school visits across iowa to discuss the importance of giving students a world-class education in science ... technology ... engineering and mathematics. she stopped by loess hills and morningside elementary here in sioux city. we had the chance to follow the lieutenant governor around this morning and we'll have more on her upcoming visit coming up at 5 and 6. lukas: a former iowa governor is continueing to speak out against iowa's move to privitize medicaid. chet culver was on hand for a town hall meeting in sioux city for medicaid receipients. with the new medicaid program set to begin on march 1st former governer culver wanted medicaid patients to weigh in on the problems that the new plan brings. governor culver stated that the executive legislation really needs to take a look at how it's affecting iowa citizens and that he's here to be an advocate. "i'm taking all of this testimony, we just had 2 hours of it today, non-stop and i'm sharing it with policy makers both in des moines and in washington d.c.," says culver.

stationed in norfolk to bring the squad to full strengh ... paul hughes has this story and more ... "effective immediately, nebraska livestock sales of norfolk has suspended sales at the market. a spokesman for owner jim barta told news talk wjag that, "due to the declining number of cattle in the area, we are going to seasonal sales at the norfolk sale barn." the action will affect approximately 20 sales market employees. no sales are scheduled at this time and barta's spokesman gave no indication of when sales would resume. the norfolk city council approved two ordinances on second reading last night to provide a location for a downtown, drive-up ilbox. the councilvoteteto make iron hohoe drive one way and to prohibit parking on a portion of the strt to allow for the placement of a drive up mailbox. the ordinances need one more favorable vote to become final. five of the recent graduates of the nebraska state patrol academy will join troop b, headquartered in norfolk. the recruits will work with a field training officer for six months, and be considered probationary for six months after that. troop b captain paul hattan says the additional officers bring his squad to a
