"women, we share a lot of similar experiences... you know, being little ladied, being told that you're not good enough for it, or just like being really surprised when you show up! and that's the women that i'm with here, i'm pleased to be with them" says winona laduke, author and executive director of honor the earth. the conference also encluded a special set of events for college women. i moderated a panel discussion geared towards preparing college women for

tim: the empty chair in the u-s supreme will not go unnoticed, today. black wool cape has been draped on the chair of justice antonin scalia and on the bench in front of his seat. a black drape has also been hung over the courtroom doors. a source close to his family saysthere will be a public viewing for scalia on friday. his funeral will be held on saturday. tim: meanwhle the replacement of justice scalia has become somewhat of a political football as republican senators say they will not confirm any candidates president obama nominates for the position. among them is iowa senator chuck grassley says he doesn't want to vote on any appointments from president obama, is based on precedent. in a statement sent out saturday after the passing of justice scalia, he said, quote: "the fact of the matter is that it's been standard practice over the last nearly 80 years that supreme court nominees are not nominated and

election year." jenna: the activist group "why courts matter" says grassley is being inconsistent. a couple of questions from the audience during the hour long event concerned the supreme court vacancy and whether republicans would even consider a nominee made by president obama. two activists planned to shadow grassley at each of three events today asking if he would allow hearings. the senator made no promises either way. " tim: police in vermillion say they've identified two suspects connected to the vandalism of a university of south dakota fraternity. tim: the two suspects have been identified as two usd students. the vermillion police department says the two admitted to spray painting the the message because they were upset after being kicked out of a party, the vermillion police chief says the information has been forwarded on to the state's attorney. the chief says the two only caused about 18 dollars in damage, but could possibly face vandalism and intentional damage to property charges jenna: the attorney for an emmet county teen accused of shooting another teen this past summer has decided not to seek a change of venue the attorney for lee christensen filed a notice with the court that he does not seek to move the teen's murder trial out of emmet county

feels that he cannot find an impartial jury. christensen is accused of killing 19-year-old thomas bortvit in june of 2015. jenna: authorities in sac county are searching for a man wanted for attmpted murder after striking a man with his car the sac county sheriff's office is looking for 36 year old jeremy allen werneburg of ida grove . authorities say he struck a glidden man with his car on sunday night in carnarvon. the victim in this case was transported to an area hospital with serious injuries. werneburg is described as a white male 6'3" 205 lbs. anyone with information on the whereabouts of werneburg is asked to call 911 or the sac county sheriff's office at 712-662-7127. tim: a sioux city woman is facing several charges after firing a weapon during an argument outside a home yesterday evening. court documents say michelle myers was arguing with the residents of a home on 16th street around 10 p.m. yesterday when she fired a round into the pavement after being denied enterance to the home. the bullet

"communication? social integration? milestones for any developing toddler? and the very milestones that parents concerned about autism spectrum disorders anxiously wait to see. but should doctors be looking as well? a top advisory group, today issued a new guideline? saying there is not enough evidence to support routine screenings for autism in apparently healthy toddlers. autism affects behavior and communication. its causes are still up for debate, and recognizing it is often a challenge. the clues sometimes so subtle - even doctors can miss them. the u-s preventive services task force - the group of medical experts assigned with making recommendations for america's doctors - looked at existing research on autism in children ages 18 to 30 months. what they found: is that there is not enough research for the experts to
