release facility. jacob michael petty, 26, escaped on january 26th ... he was placed on escape status after failing to return to the facility from an out patient treatment program. petty was convicted of second degree robbery and sentenced to 10 years in jail in 2008. he was then transfered to work release in october of 2015. jenna: a council bluffs man who was accused of holding a sioux city bank manager against her will in her home in 20-14 has been arreseted. according to court documents 24-year-old joseph lanckriet is facing felony burglary and robbery charges in connection with the incident. according to those documents the 24 year old and another man followed a woman who they knew was a manager of a bank to her home and tried to force her to go back to the bank and openhe vault. a bandaid had been left behind by one of the suspects and in november of 20-15 officals were able to connect the dna to a case in council bluffs. lanckriet is currently being charged with 1st

being held on a $100,000 bond. tim: a 30-year old transient man has been arrested for climbing up a fire escape to commit burglary and assault. authorties say that adonis bess climbed up the fire escape of a 5-plex in the 14- hundred block of summit street in sioux city, saturday. they say he broke out the screen to the bedroom window of one of the apartments. two people were asleep in the room and were woken up by bess entering the window. bess grabbed a few items and tried to force the residents to give them money for the items return. they refused and tried to force bess out of the apartment, bess then struck the victim several times. bess is currently charged with 2nd degree burglary, 4th degree theft, simple assault and possession of drug paraphernalia. he's being held in the woodbury county jail on a $50,000 bond. jenna: this afternoon, new details about jason dalton's behavior leading up to that deadly rampage in michigan--his family's attorney speaking exclusively to abc news. through their lawyer--uber driver jason dalton's wife and parents are speaking out for the first

shock--but sympathy to the victims--the six people killed--and two others injured.. dalton, a married father of two, began driving for uber just two weeks before the shooting. he's now in jail--facing six counts of murder--and his motive remains amystery--even to his family.
