thanks jenna and bruce. a newly formed group in siouxland is looking to help raise awareness and support for law enforcement. abc9's jess plue has more what they hope to accomplish. jess: `spouces behind the shield is a newly organized group of supporters for law enfoement. while their focus remains localized at the moment, they aim to grow across the country. the group called spouces behind the shield is composed of spouces, family, friends and community members united in support of those in law enforcement. they raise funds and awareness through selling shirts, custom coins, and other fundraiing events. not only are they a support group for officers but for one another as well. "in light of all the negativity that comes in law enfofoement, it's nice to have a group of people that youou can get togegeer with and talalabout thingsgshat are maybe going on at work or going on at home that only

biggest arenas, some of the most t stile environments, you've gotta love things like that." adam woodbury--"it's really been surreal. i mean i couldn't really ask for a better experience that i've had. every little bump in the road has helped me grow as a person. i'm just grateful for my opportunity to play here at iowa and for my opportunity to play at east. i was put in two very good programs that have really helped me grow as a person. fran mccaffery--"they've been incredibly productive and we've won a lot of games. you know, you look at the numbers before they got here, what the numbers are now in terms of wins. those two guys are right there in the middle of all of it." be sure to tune in tuesday night to abc9 news at 10 for a look back at the sioux crew. in other basketball news, the wayne state women saw their season come to an end today, 76-56 in the nsic quarterfinals. the wildcats went 0-14 from the floor in the second quarter, allowing northern state to go on a 21-0 run. wayne state finishes the year

chris: it's been a busy week for the sioux city musketeers, but not one that the guys would le to remember. they've played three game already this week and lost each of them, getting outscored 14-3. today, they tried to salvage a couple of points hosting madison for some afternoon hockey. less than five minutes, the good guys strike first...tony stillwell centers it, c.j. dodero gets the deflection in front of the net, and it's 1-0 muskies. t the caps answer...dmitri buinitsky, pulls i i back and fireseshe cked wrister top shelf and we have a brand new game. four minutes later though, josh wilkins gets into the slot and finds eeli tolvanen for the goal, sioux city takes the lead but it was short lived. madison stormed back to hand the muskies their 11th loss in 12 games, 5-4. down in ames today, the sioux city metros locked up third place in the m-h- s-h-l tournament this morning with a 4-3 shootout win over the des moines oak leafs. james page had himself a day with a pair of goals while skyler beller also lit the lamp. page and connor
