"the current generation of bridges we're working on had a 50 year design life so when you think about it, a significant portion of our bridges are either at or exceeding that design life." says mark nahra, woodbury county engineer. bridges like this one are to be replaced by culverts like this one. and gravel roads that are sunken in due to seasonal weathering will take priority in getting resurfaced.
