,, ,, super bowl weekend is upon us. we are only about 34 hours away from the big game. the broncos and the panthers at levi's stadium in santa clara, california. watch the game right here on cbs 4. that is where we find alan g&a from super bowl city. good morning, mark. great to see you this morning. we arrived at super bowl city. this city within a city was so packed last night that the police actually shut down admissions at about 9 o'clock that is because it simply could

and people began to flow out on the embarcadero. last time they were down here, it must've been about 50,000 people on the embarcadero. in addition to all of those people packing super bowl city. they were listening to one republic. colorado zone one republic playing on the main stage inside super bowl city and people were fired up. >> [ cheering & applause ]>> go, broncos. i hope bob miller destroys cam newton and does the dance. >> [ laughter ] coming up in just a few minutes this morning, you will meet more of those fired up vans all over san francisco at the orange and blue is strong. and mark, we don't even see many carolina fans. if fan sentiment is any indication, i tell you what, the broncos have this game. let's go to chris and colorado to deliver the current -- to deliver the forecast. nothing by the temperatures

we're cold across colorado this morning. 20 below and gunnison. 11 below and craig. 23 about at the airport. it is a little warmer downtown. seven fort collins. one below in the lineman -- in lineman. you can pick out your neighborhood from the foothills out across the city, most of us in the low to mid 20s but in the northeast side, cold air trapped up that way. seven in the condo. 82 erie and 19 in brighton. a similar story coming in from our weather watcher. we have a lot of singles and teens. jim mundorf has 5 degrees. but i do have good news, it will warm up once the sun gets above the horizon. the temperatures will warm just a bit and we will get into the low to mid 40s across the denver area we have our high projected at or to 6 degrees

breezy adding a chill to the air and we will talk about some warm wind in our forecast and talk about the super bowl whether, as well -- weather, as well. new video shows the moments the earthquake hit in taiwan. showing the earthquakes strength. more than 200 people were trapped when it brought down a 17 story complex. crews were able to get to most of the victims but we are told at least 13 people died. dozens of others storms hospitals a few hours ago, a woman a baby rescued from the rubble and both are getting checked out. crews are searching for other survivors. gop presidential candidates square off tonight in their eighth debate. this is just first primary. a lot is at stake for donald trump. he is leading the polls nationally in new hampshire but after skipping the last debate, he is facing tough competition from tech crews and marco rubio. >> getting a call on tuesday

welcome back. a live look at super bowl city this morning. we are just once -- one day away from the big game. the skit a check of the weather forecast.

collaboration of camera views. and broncos summarizes. we know mother nature is a huge broncos fan. kind. delightful. a nice orange glow on the horizon for you this morning. is cold. look at these temperatures. a lot of us in the single digits and teens. some at zero like linemen. a bit of a down when. if you factor in the breeze, the feels like 14 below. 11 below in craig. here are the latest temperatures from -- 25 and lone tree. 2 degrees in delmore. the with the story is a pretty easy one to tell.

except for some wind. a very strong jet stream just to the north and east. a lot of wind warnings to the north of colorado. nothing in our state that those strong winds will graze by. the weather story, high pressure ridge over the western part of the united states. we're on the edge of a very busy jet stream and we will stay there for most of the weekend but here's the good news. watch this ridge of high pressure buildup. that is won the super bowl is going to be so warm on sunday and also why we will be windy throughout the weekend. as we go through friday, the entire week was fantastic minus a couple of brief periods of wind. a cloud may develop later this afternoon with stronger winds in the vicinity pushing off overnight and tomorrow morning. we may wake up to a few light snow showers in the high country but all in all, a dry weekend underway.

temperatures will warm up just a little bit over where we were yesterday. mostly in the 40s and eastern plains. 20s and 30s for your high on the western slope. demers five day forecast looks like this. a bit of a fly in the ointment for tomorrow if you're planning to cookout for super bowl sunday. the jet stream is going to bring a quick dessert bentz to the -- disturbance. it does close down just 38 degrees in denver and it will be windy if you are cooking out. we will turn up the heat as we go into the week with the high pressure coming in, near 60 as we approach next weekend. >> hopefully, it will melt some

i am live at super bowl city as we continue our coverage in san francisco. last night -- what a night they had here. a lot of people have arrived here and just about everyone is coming for that big game tomorrow and the broncos fans are showing a good presence. far more than the carolina fans. we had concerts by colorado's own one republic right here in super bowl city. we had terrel playing last night. the big party started getting into gear. the playboy party and all kinds of things going on. the celebrities are here and retired football players are here and if you're in san francisco this weekend, you can just stand still and watch and it is just fascinating. >> that sounds so awesome. i am jealous of you.

46 and a little bit of fog at the airport. you're going to be near 70 today with plenty of sunshine. here in colorado, nothing like that. we are starting off at 20 below. >> 19 above and colorado springs. in the foothills, low to mid 20s are pretty common. louisville. 19 in brighton. 14 in thorten. a similar story coming in from our weather watchers. let's check in and see. we have 18 degrees from orlando on the west side of littleton. if you are trying to plan your day today, pick up the supplies for your super bowl party tomorrow, you have a pretty good day to do so. we are expecting it dry just about statewide. fairly mild for this time of year. temperatures getting to the middle 40s by this afternoon with a little bit of high cloud cover coming in.

day because last night was a big night of super bowl parties. everyone recovers today to get ready for tomorrow. i visited with a guy who said it normally takes him about an hour or two to cleanup. he said he has been working on it for about six hours and is only three quarters down. that is how many people were here in super bowl city where they shut down admissions. just as one republic was playing and tens of thousands were out along the embarcadero just outside the plaza. mark and chris this morning, it is incredible. the weather is feeling a little warmer out here in the morning's. and it is really not too bad. what about tomorrow? >> we're all going to wish we were there. we will be near 70. here in colorado, it is a that of a chilly start. i wanted to donned my broncos

employees were evacuated around midnight when some electricals started to smoke. fire marshals -- firefighters were called out and no one was hurt. crews are back out cleaning up from a massive crane collapse in new york. several streets were closed and people nearby were evacuated. >> oh, it broke! >> it happened in lower manhattan yesterday. crews were trying to move it because of all of the wind. when it came down, it covered two city blocks. neighbors were worried way before it happened. >> 7:32 on the clock. as you just watched, there are some big celebrations in santa clara, california. a lot of excitement happening. do have live crew on the scene. also this morning, we do want to show you this video.

from a fancy restaurant in california. the eight-month-old somehow made her way into a big in la jolla. volunteers from sea world came and got her. they say she is underweight and dehydrated but they do plan to nurse her back to health. not far from san diego and right on the ocean. we will get to that video would just a bit. we do think we should be sending it out to alan g&a who is live in super bowl city.>> sometimes, the computers go awry. we arrived this morning and super bowl city as we talk about how things are going. even the carolina folks will say , there are a lot more broncos fans than panthers fans and i tell you what, that is the case.

will find a couple of different kinds of fans. you will find the ones who have tickets to the super bowl but you will find some others who came to town for the parties and many of them are watching those ticket prices to find out if they might go down enough so that they can go. seats are still over 3000 were nosebleeds. this point. we were hoping we could move some flights. it. >> we came in on thursday and we're going to leave on monday. >> do you have any budget left? >> not after those tickets. will pan off to the left. the carolinas and doing their morning shot of the sunrise. you can see it right there behind of a bridge in san francisco. tomorrow, we're going to have so much excitement and coldplay says you can expect to feel color and choreography tomorrow. the dynamics and they won't be alone. we are they and brutal marsh plan to make a surprise appearance tomorrow. and there are hundreds of crew members working to get all of this ready. back in the day, 1967, the university of arizona marching band playing in the first halftime show back then and they marched out on the field and played the sound of music. they had a trumpet player out there and all kinds of activity. and of course, this is going to be another great event. it goes along with superbowl 50.

notice around town today is that there are so many more broncos fans than carolina fans. they had about 2600 miles across the country from the carolinas. and the broncos fans are making such a strong showing out here. so, as you walk around town where we have super bowl city or the moscone he center where the nfl experience is, you will see some in the broncos fans taking in the culture and so many things to do you will find them in fisherman's wharf,'s wine country. some of the people we spoke to say they were heading out to wine country to experience that. we will pan often show you what they do in super bowl city. this is a zip line that they have and all of this is free in
