you'll see the details of that alert. this happened around 9:00 last night at this location and this morning, we have an updated description of the car that they're looking for. denver police say it's a 1998 gray lincoln sedan with damage to the right side number and kqi-285, that license place, qki-285. we can see police here last night collecting evidence and there was clothes from the victim on scene. as for the car, that was last seen avenue west. if you have information about this hit-and-run, you're asked to contact police. live in denver, shawn chitnis, cbs 4 news. we have another warm start for this time of year. >> we do. lauren is tracking the forecast. degrees this morning? morning. it's going to be a warm day and the winds are going to impact our temperature. so you'll see the temperatures rise

these big wins. we have a red flag warning in denver. parts of the foothills. you can see to the eastern plains covering i-25 as you go from fort collins down to trinidad and towards the eastern plains. winds strong and humidity low. it's gusty in winter park. winds already in the foothills, estes park, black hawk, over 30 miles-an-hour and golden hawk, 30 miles-an-hour. the winds are going to get stronger towards the lunch hour. 50 degrees in denver. 24 in lineman. 30 in avon. 42 in grand junction. satellite and radar, we have cloud cover and there's snow in our northwest corner, that will get more bide spread. here in denver, mostly sunny to partly sunny skies. 60 degrees by noon and 60 by 2:00. let's check with joel. >> it's a good drive in the high country.

minnesota of the he's political specialist, shawn boy. >> super tuesday reshaped this election once again. among the takeaways, donald trump's appeal is crossing geographical and ideological lines. clinton is proving that she's diverse and dominated among african merps but won by big margins across all segments of the parties. sanders has the finances and fans to continue for a while, but clinton is clinching the nomination. the trump train too. he beat cruz. cruz called the southern states his fire wall and he beat marco rubio among moderates. rubio, the established best hope in trouble with polls showing trump beating him in his home state of florida. john kasich needing a win in ohio or he too is doom.

delegates, what is unclear whether he'll be able to get enough delegates or whether we'll see a broker convention. i'm specialist, shaun boyd, cbs 4 news. >> trump leads the republicans with 314 delicates. cruz in second with 214. the parties nominee is going to need 1,237 delegates to win at the republican national convention and avoid that brokard convention that shawn talked about. sanders has 387 this morning. the democrats require 200,383 delegates to win the nomination. as early today, we could learn if sports authority could go bankrupt. the retailers messed a payment on its $43.5 million debt. sports authority said to have bankruptcy lined

>> sorry, alan. save up, maybe you can get one next year. >> jill, thank you. you can see delays on colfax near cherry creek. a driver was heading west around 2:00 this morning when he went over the median and destroyed the signal and the sign. police think the driver was drinking. he was pulled to the car, but he walked to the ambulance. he has minor injury and transported to the hospital. police say they saw beer cans poured out of the suv while being towed. the zika virus is in the state. it's a concern to pregnant woman. >>reporter: the kind of mosquitos that spread the zika virus through their bites don't live in colorado. health officials say the two cases here were acquired out of the country, but the virus can be through sexual contact.

like we all get two or three times a year. >> dr. kent haywood is chief at denver health. it's his patient, pregnant women who have cause for zika. he says two dozen of them who had been to mexico had their blood tested for zika. >> we're waiting for the results to start coming back. >> in brazil, where they're trying to control the zika outbreak, pregnancy has been -- >> it's not proven, but the circumstantial evidence right now is very strong. >> and zika is also being tied to temporary paralysis. some scientist say the zika virus can cause a rare but severe neurological disorder. >> for the next few years, i think this will be contending well. >> dr. hayborn said they do not

looking to get this windy too. it's going to be really, really not so fun. 30 mile-per-hour gust in fort collins. in the denver area, it's not too bad. broomfield, winds at 33 miles-an-hour. as we shift into the foothills and mountains, we're warmer this morning if the 28 degrees in denver. 23 degrees warmer in boulder. 16 degrees warmer for fort collins and colorado springs. that puts us at 50 in denver. 55 in boulder. 28 in greeley. and 20s, 30 s on eastern plains and mountain -- 32 in steamboat and 42 in grand junction. satellite and radar, we have cloud cover. we're looking at snow already in our northwestern corner and as we look at our future cast, while we have snow, we do stay dry. by lunch time, could get a couple of inches of snow. two

that will ease through the afternoon and evening, and here in denver, eastern plains, there may be a pop of rain, but overall, we're looking at dry conditions with intense winds. down. tomorrow, it's relaxed. breezy in the foothills and a few clouds late in the day. 66 in denver. 60s and 70s and close to 8 0s on the eastern plains. 40s into the 60s tomorrow. very slight chance for rain, but we're warm this weekend. 60s and low 70s. let's check in with joel, good morning. >> we're going to have a trouble spot near colfax and cherry. this video came into the news room. there's a car across the median. they got to get the car towed and the light restored. this is colfax and cherry.

this morning, it could last into the morning commute. we're going to watch that. we're across the denver metro area. this is colfax and cherry, this is the issue. east of colorado. elsewhere, we're running at or near post ed speed limits. we've got the wind, this is what lauren has been tracking for us effecting highway 9 and highway 6, i-70, 285 as well. and then all of that is going to affect the drive along i-25 near the foothills. if you're putting a trailer, it's going to pull you into the other lane. thanks, joel. ridiculed and abused, a female firefighter says working at the fire station was so bad, she had to resign. the fire department agreed to pay that woman a $75,000 settlement. investigator brian

>>reporter: she wanted to wear -- her lawyer says sexual discrimination emerged immediately. >> the denver fire department rose to being so threatening, she was afraid to go to work. >> as a rookie firefighter, she was cleaning the fire house and she found porn magazines. >> they went out their way to set up porn where she would find it. >> she says that firefighters abused her and subjected her to sexual comments. she said -- after 8 months on the job, she resigned but filed this complaint. >> it is a classic white, girls, boys club and it continues to be.

scott kelly now holds the record for us astronaut with his later mission on the space station. right now, his body is learning to deal with gravity again. he's reid benemann. >> scott belly back on mother earth after 340 days in space. >> astronaut scott kelly returning to earth after a year on the space station. the longest period of time that any american has spent in space. >> it's bittersweet when you leave this incredible space. >> kelly went -- his mission included a batteries of test on the gravity on the human body. his between brother mark kelly was on earth the whole time so scientist can determine how their bodies are different.
