the mountains, look at winter park. windy unfortunately again in the mountains we cannot shake that wind it's 43 in boulder. and joy jordon, our weather watcher up bright and early this morning. thank you for sending that in. high clouds across the state, coming from the west, it's a down sloping wind today. however, as we widen the view, there's a front coming through wyoming here. it's a low pressure area up in north dakota and the front here will slide through here between 10 and noon today and that may give us a sprinkle in the afternoon. it shows up in the future cast forecast. partly sunny, a little more cloud cover and full on sunshine and late in the day, between 4:00, 5:00, we might pick up a couple light sprinkles and light snow it does not last long.

sunday, some snow in the mountains starts to pick up late morning into the afternoon and a little bit of rain out there in the west as well and it will be breezy and warm across the eastern plains we may make it to 70 degrees coming up on sunday. the way things are looking today, 60s and 70s to the east. 50s in the mountains and 66 out there in grand junction today. a lot of 60s on the map here. 62 today with high clouds tomorrow, for the girls and science event, near 70 on sunday and cooler on monday, monday we might pick up a little bit of rain shower action as well. we have to wish more moisture in here. i had a wonderful visit at black rock up in eerie, the second graders, they enjoyed hands on equipment. we take thermometers, wind

chance of developing high blood pressure. drinking around 6 cups of coffee per day predeuces the risk of ms. 41 degrees in denver let's find out about the travel forecast. >> 6 cups, i've only had one so far, i have a long way to go. here's the travel forecast across the nation, no huge problems, we're looking at snow in the sierra, nevadas in california and across the midsection. not bad until you get to minnesota. there's snow closer to the great lakes and snow in the western state. nothing severe as far as weather goes, you shouldn't have too much slowing you down. the high 62 in denver the drive to the airport, pretty good, we have a trouble spot and we have some chains on the roads along the direction after i-25.

channel, this is cbs 4 morning news. 5:28, a live look out there this morning, rolling into the metro area, this friday, 4th of march. we take a live look there and it's great to see today. >> good morning, i'm britt moreno and we are starting off friday with mild temperatures let's get to dave who is tracking the forecast. >> whether or not it's a cold or warm front, it's a good day we have cloud cover and westerly wind boosting temperatures, we're 45 in arvada. 48 in highlands ranch and across the state, what we have is high clouds drifting in and kind of acting as a blanket if you will overnight keeping some of that heat in all night long. on the satellite and radar, quite a bit shooting in from the west.

probably after 10:00 this morning and keeping our temperatures, maybe a couple degrees cooler than yesterday. still, way above normal for this time of the year. 62 for the high. partly -- >> southbound coming into town, seeing a few more cars but no cones to get in your way making your way into denver we have a couple trouble spots we have a stalled vehicle along i-25 to the north of 6th avenue and chains on the road. watch out for that. going out to the broader picture, you can see we're running at or near posted speed
