shooting his wife and two neighbors in centennial. one of the neighbors shot and killed his piz ken atkinson. jennifer brice joins us live. >> reporter: study we heard 911 calls from the victims in this case, including sdr atkinson in the last -- dr.so final moments of his life. we also saw body camera videos from one of the first depose to get to the scene. very chilling of >> reporter: a detective testified that the wife of kevin lyons told them that her husband had just acted weird for several days, even irrational. she suggested he go to the hospital. she says that she didn't even know that her husband had a gun. she told police that kevin came at her, had the gun, and just

witnessed much more than this. it is just the latest string of incidents that we have reported along the mall this summer. in this case, the man seen charging others with a pipe, that man there was arrested. howard nathan live in the mall for us tonight. and you talked to the man who recorded this latest incident. >> reporter: that man witnessed the assault that took place over here. he's observed people walk around, picking up using them to menace other people. and he's observed something like 100 incidents over the past seven months. >> reporter: terry darnell lives out of his apartment window above the 16th street mall. >> this is where it happened in the middle of the night. >> reporter: this happened wednesday night at about 10:00. at least two men clobbered someone, knocked them out. he

here's the latest on the deaths of two toddlers in georgia. the 15-month-old girls tie dyed after being left in a hot car outside their home. the father face involuntary manslaughter charges. police believe the 24-year-old was drinking before leaving them in the car. investigators are working to determine how long the girls were left inside. neighbors tried to cool them off but they were unresponsive. >> there's no reason for it. mean to do it. this is something he's gonna have to live with for the rest of his life. >> at least 26 kids in 15 states have died after being left in hot cars so far. experts are urging pregnant women across the u.s. to protect themselves across the zika virus it. comes after 15 cases of locally transmitted zika was found in south florida. so far there's no evidence the mosquito-borne virus is

flash flood watch and -- you see that rain line up, heavy rain pushing over the metro area. scattered showers overnight. doesn't last long. here it is saturday morning at 10:30, mostly cloudy skies around here. as the afternoon goes on, here come the showers and thunderstorms once again. they get heavier as they move off to the eastern plains. sunday morning, i think sunday is gonna start off in pretty good shape, lots of sunshine. and i think the showers hold off until about 8:00 at night. that's when moves in. sunday might be okay until the evening hours. then the scattered showers and thunderstorms, monday a little sunshine to start, then here come the storms again by about noon, and push off to the eastern plains. cool air continues behind it. and we're in the 70s for one more day. 76 and 75, starches of 61 and 63. 89 and 60 the new york times for this -- the norms for this time of year. east upslowed wind at 12. falling barometer.

earlier in the week it was mid-90s. the last couple davis much cooler out at training camp. and it rained today! that was new. huge crowd. benchers got the day off. another day of practice. trevor siemian had a better day than mark sanchez but sanchez had his moments as well. they continue to share reps as starters. kubiak wasn't asked about the quarterback competition after practice today.
