6:32 pm
training camp that was what everybody thought mark sanchez was going to come in. that's what brought him in to do was win the starting job. >> just inconsistency seems like every day there's a bad turnover just need to see more consistency from him because he's a visit veteran he's the one that should be the one leading by example and not turning the football over, but every day seems like he throws an interception or two trevor simeon to his credit has done a good job of making it a competition and ma >> any surprise to see the slash at the number one quarterback spot with mark sanchez and trevor simeon listed as the number one quarterback? >> little bit but early on i think they are going to give both those guys an opportunity here in preseason to win the job. and so right now gary cube ya doesn't want to tip his hands a couple of weeks before that third preseason game you're going to need to know who your starter is. >> let's take a look at our

the way it broke down pass verse run last year. the overall pass ratio for this team was 60% pass 40% run. even when brock osweiler was in this team was more pass heavy. the question is how will it breakdown in 2016ment this year in camp we are starting to see the fullback position emerge a little big more. juwan thompson he's trying to get out there earn that starting spot the broncos drafted anti-yanukovych in 6 th round. are we g kubiak grounds and pounds smash mouth football team? >> no question they are going to run the ball a lot more than last year. this is his offense they had all 0 its as and training camp to installing. they know what kind f football they have. they have a defensive football team and offense just don't screw it up. they are going -- it's going to be more like 50/50. >> the broncos have made no
6:34 pm
kubiak's offense. >> it's going to be huge. and i think specially up front the offensive line that's where you'll see the most improvement from last year's team to this year's team. as they have done a great job in free agency bringing in some new guys that will play a big role. but just as you a a unit as a whole those guys being together through otas and training camp having one system in may i think is going to help them the most. >> the guy who's going to get the majority of those k. j. anderson everybody very high on c. j. and his production. what he did in the offseason losing some weight looks like he's gained. what have you seen from c. j. can he be the bell could you broncos wants him to be. >> no question about it he can be that guy. he looks great he looks quick and fast but he's still got some bulk to him. you'll see the c j anderson you saw a couple of years ago more so than you saw the c. j.

number 2 back? how interested are you in that competition. >> it's a great competition. and when you look at ronnie hill plan devon take booker the guy who stood out is capri bibs. he's a guy that's gotten every opportunity he's done well. i can't wait to watch him in preseason games. >> that's the determination factor across the board preseason games. that's where it all comes down to. how can you perform when the lights are on. >> when we some of your best performances from whitaker here. plenty of highlights to choose from we'll break them down maybe let you decide which once u one goes for number one. xfinity monday live brought to you by xfinity. keep -p up your favorite teams make it several. track live stats and scores with the x1 sports app from xfinity. plenty more xfinity monday live

>> how could you forget it. i was going down the seam 20 something seconds left in the game the ball gets tipped up i just remember looking at it and saying i think i might have a chance to catch this. and i caught it and then i was shocked that nobody was around to tackle me so i just take off running. and i see linebacker or two chasing me and the guy kinds of gave up on the play that's when i decided to run down the sideline. thank goodness that linebacker did not catch me. >> you're trying but how did you come up with that right in the moment? >> because i saw the guy quit on the play and i realized nobody was behind me. i thought let me run a few seconds off to make sure we're going to win this football game. >> you were telling me you had a little ptsd about that you started having dreams. >> i started having nightmares were you a hundred percent sure nobody was behind you probably should have just got in the end

mailed you fumble you would have been on football follies. >> where does that rank on the brandon stokely career receptions you had a lot. we have video of you. >> it ranks right at the top. my super bowl touchdown i caught with the ravens has to be the number one. but that one you know my catch again san diego a in 2012 to give us the lead was a special one. because it was in san diego against phillip rivers losing 24-0 at halftime. made that extra special and then the playoffs against the broncos had a few. but we don't need to talk about those. >> we'll let those go. you mention that catch you had in the super bowl . you were on two super bowl teams talk to me about being a defending super bowl champ having to go through otas having to go through training camp having to get up for the next season. is that tough? >> it is tough. you finally accomplished your goals. and now what else do you have
6:41 pm
the back. and it's tough to get going to next year. you can say whatever you want about how you put it behind you but you never put it behind you. >> so how do you fight it? >> you got to have a great head coach that helps you get over it. and gary kubiak had a great message off season and training catch. last year is over with we got to put it behind us but it's human nature it does affect you the following year. >> you mentioned great head coaches you had a great head coaches tony dungy this weekend at the hall of fame. what was that like to be with him and to be with some of your colts teammates? is he and marvin harrison were inducted into the hall of fame. >> it's unbelievable to see a guy you got to spends four years with both marvin and tony dungy going to the hall of fame the same night and get to hang out with all your old former teammates and reflect on those years. and that's what it's all about. it's not about the wins and
