live from view house centennial, this is xfinity monday live. brought to you by xfinity on the x 1 entertainment operating system, tv and internet together like never before. now, your host michael spencer. hello, everyone and welcome to the infinity view house.
6:31 pm
off the practice field. >> good seeing you. >> good seeing you too. >> i'm a sweaty mess, but at least i'm here. >> they call it television, not smell vision. first preseason game in chicago, let's get right into our coors lite cold hard facts and the quarterback standpoint, that's what everybody was keeping an eye on, mark sanchez got to start, played touchdown and one interception. trevor siemian came in and 88 yards, no tough downs and no interceptions. and paxton lynch, played the first after. no touchdowns and no interceptions for him either, so after one game complete, the competition continues, but decision time begins soon. >> i got so many questions i could answer on this team.
6:32 pm
team. we had a very competitive practice today. we are going to have two against the niners, we are going to play them saturday. you got to get to the point you start to answer those things. >> we heard chris kubiak say this is going to be the most important training camp. the saturday preseason game. how poornt is this week not only for the quarterback position, but for the staff. >> i think what gary would like to a little bit. the competition is so very close. it is open between mark sanchez and trevor siemian. i believe that to be true, but i know they would like to after this game -- at least i think this is true -- have a guy to say you know what? he has the edge. somebody takes control and plays well enough against san francisco and in practice, obviously, to go into that third preseason game as the starter.
6:33 pm
to start. he the touchdown drive and interception. are you an it will l bit surprised he hasn't been that guy to take control of that job. >> i think it's a little bit more difficult for mark in terms of learning the offense. he has never played in the offense and trevor siemian has. i think trevor played well. and one bad throw you see right there is a throw you can't. if peyton manning makes tha the interception. because it's mark sanchez and he has a history of doing that, that's going to be very important. i think sanchez has played well enough that he is still very firm in consideration for the job. >> now, the other guy is trevor siemian, seems like he has won more practice days than mark has. so what does he have to do to grab the job. >> what i like about him, he has full control of the offense.
6:34 pm
the lights aren't too bright. this is a guy that was on the seventh round draft choice. he is a very cool collected young guy and i also like the way the ball comes out of his hand, great zip on his passes. he has looked impressive. he has been more impressive than i think anybody thought he would be. >> paxton lynch, what did you see out these guys are high on because he traded up. >> talk about swimming. paxton lynch last year, 90% more were shotgun. now you get into a west coast offense where it's verbiage intensive. what i would like for him was lively arm, ball comes out of his hand and he has the ability to extend plays with his legs. when he got uncomfortable in the pocket he broke and run.
6:35 pm
he is a better athlete than brock was. i think a nice start to his career. >> how important is it to get paxton lynch to the game reps or should they. >> i don't think it's important unless they feel like he is a guy that can help them win. they are not going to play him just to get reps. he is built for a super bowl run. i know they aren't talking about this. but the defensiveuy they would be better on offense. so paxton lynch is going to have to be better than mark sanchez and trevor siemian. >> two words. who gets the starter. >> mark sanchez. >> live at the view house, xfinity, use voice commands to

more. thed -- much more.

6:38 pm
welcome back to xfinity monday live at the view house centennial. l our conversation with dave logan continuing. let's talk about a guy who
6:39 pm
seven receptions. cody latimer. what did you see from him? he only had 8, and come out with seven interexceptions. for the last several years cody hasn't been that guy. you are not a second pick in a team for a particular year if they don't think you can be a starter receiver, he made his mark on special teams, but you don't get a second round choice on a guy that is he is good after the run, i was glad to see him step up at relatively easy passes, but then do something with it. >> he was a little uncomfortable, maybe nervous working with peyton manning. i think we all knew that, but were you surprised him admitting that? >> a little bit. peyton's thing -- and i have never played with peyton, but many of the guys have. he expects you to know what's going on.
6:40 pm
college, that can be really, really difficult. the league is hard enough. and this offense isn't the easiest offense even with gary kubiak out of the mix. there is a lot of verbiage and the difference between college and pro football. it is very true. >> we seen virgil green. seems like he is the leader in camp. how much will we see in this kubiak offense. >> green has what they are counting on. thought of as the great walking point tight end. i think he is a better pass receiver that he is given credit for. he has had limited opportunities for the last couple years and he blew acls and blew the entire
6:41 pm
605 and 255, linebackers, both are pretty good in the passing game and the tight ind is really -- this offense is rolling, the tight end gets a lot of balls. >> of course we can talk about the offense, but the mainstay is the defense. there is no question about that. and they picked up right where they left off thursday night. >> it's hard to tell were they that good or the bears that bad. i think a little bit of both. they got after jay cutler, as i me how fast they were. and then you remember four all pros didn't play, vaughan lee, demarcus ware. they didn't play. it is something that has to be recknd with. a lot of personnel that are multidimensional in terms of the position they can play and he has a lot of guys like that this year.
6:42 pm

6:50 pm
they were hoping to get really substantial playing time at that spot. great pro, great teammate and i hated to see that this morning and feel awful for him. but it's a big blow for the broncos. >> it's hard to overcome. we now take questions from fans at audience. it's brought to you b like to call the souper bowl. >> oh, wow, i have been blessed to call four. they have won three of them. super bowl 32 when the broncos played the packer,, that was the first time they won. it hit me at the two minute mark and went to a time out. wait a minute, if they get one stop, they win the super bowl. and growing up in town i had an

emotional game for me. the last one was terrific because i thought if they played well -- i thought they had to play better on offense than they did. butt they were so good on defense they couldn't but win. >> and nba, nlb and ryan wants to know why did you choose football over all the other sports. >> moment of insanity maybe. >> i would say it worked out well. i was happy with my career. i was drafted out of the high school. at that time you could not compete in any sport in college. i sent letters saying we are going to go to college and i was playing both basketball and football at cu, got drafted and broke my foot in basketball and said i'm going to try football. >> all right. this is riddle me this and the

(dramatic music plays on tv) (gunshot on tv) oh, my god. she shot him! i can't believe she shot him. this woman is a monster. yeah, but look at her jacket. i want that jacket. she just murdered her boyfriend. it's covered in his blood. a little club soda-- it comes right out. (cell phone rings) who are you avoiding? nobody. not important.
6:59 pm
she should poison whoever cut her hair. what? she can get away with murder, but not those bangs. do you even pay attention to the plot? of course, i do. i love this show. i also love that kitchen. i wish we had a pizza oven. (cell phone rings) same "nobody-not-important?" yep. you know i'm gonna go through your phone when you're not looking. i changed the passcode. you mean 1147? i'll just change it again. 1157? get out of my head. was it marjorie? no. jill? no. wendy? no. mary? who's mary? i'll take that as a no. let's see. it's somebody you don't want to talk to, so it's either sex or money. boy, that does not narrow things down. fine. it's adam.
7:00 pm
nd, adam? not boyfriend. we met once for coffee and didn't hit it off. so why is he calling? i don't know. we gonna watch the show or are you just gonna annoy me? i can do both. so what? you're not even friends with him, anymore? no, not really. why? i mean i get that you didn't have chemistry... oh, grow up. i lied. (pauses tv) he stood me up. really? why didn't you tell me? 'cause i didn't want to see your pity face. aw. spoken to him since? why should i? you know my policy: fool me once, you're dead to me. (tv resumes playing) but maybe there's an explanation. (pauses tv) what possible explanation could he have? i don't know. maybe one of his parents died. oh, there's a happy thought. for some people. and he was so overcome with grief, he couldn't pick up the phone and text,
