police confirmed they have shot and wounded a suspect in a westside neighborhood. that scene 10th and grove. >> karen morfitt joins us live with new information >> reporter: >> reporter: police just gave us a quick briefing on happened. you can see a large presence of police here. this is where we're told it began temperature stems from a carjacking incident in arapahoe county, and officers spotted the vehicle involved in a park lot near 12th and federal where you can see the large police presence. a spokesperson says one of the suspects had a gun, and one officer fired their weapon.

a colorado springs school district apologizing for holding a late-night football practice. doherty high school held a mandatory practice on midnight monday. neighbors didn't know about it, heard the noise and called police. >> we were woken up, and all of a sudden there was all of this really loud screaming. >> it was rude and obnoxious. >> thes mid-night practicing. >> district 11 says monday was the first day of high school football teams in colorado being allowed to practice. the district is reassuring parents and neighbors it won't happen again. security changes attat college football.
