the morning news. i'm britt moreno. the woman's car hit a sign and she got out of the vehicle and was wandering near the highway and another driver hit and killed her. that driver then took off. jamie leary has been on the scene since this morning. good afternoon, jamie. >> the westbound lane just behind me shut down and backed up for hours as police investigated. the woman's body on the shoulder just behind me. it's being investigated as a hit-and-run but it involves more than one scene. her blue subaru crashed into the dish. a 50-year-old woman yet to be identified. she drove through a sign and into the ditch. at some point she got out and started wandering around the

car and died. a passerby saw her body and called them around 6:20 to report it. they are still trying to figure out who was driving the car that struck and killed her. >> that's the information we're looking for. if someone struck her, we'd like to find out what happened. >> reporter: police believe that she crashederer car between 5 a.m. and 6:20 when her body was discovered. they are urging anybody who saw anything to call the brighton police department. a lafayette man vanished in january after leaving a job at eldora ski area. a deputy found his car parked near the reservoir behind the flat irons.

49degrees. feels like fall up there. 70 in cheyenne. the front sitting in between. and as soon as that comes into colorado it will kick off showers and thunderstorms. we flip over here and i'll show you the radar. my computer has stalled at the moment. i was going to show you the radar as it's showing storms starting to build in wyoming. we'll get this fixed and show you this in the main weather segment. the cold front is going to bring a change in the next >> police have new photos out as they look to talk to two women about an attempted murder that happened in may. one woman is wearing a jersey and the other a spaghetti strap shirt. the women may have information on a shooting outside an aurora 7-eleven. the weapon has been linked to five other violence crimes in the area.

sunday morning. lochte and his teammates disappeared down this walkway. when they attempted to leave, security guards blocked their taxi. police say the swimmers were drunk and belligerent, vandalized the bathroom, and left $50 to pay for the damage. >> reporter: his subsequent actions made things apologize for being an ugly american, everyone moves on. >> he originally said they were robbed at gunpoint. police said the gas station attendants were armed but called the actions appropriate.

visited miami beach. the person could have traveled to miami beach. we don't even know if the person is is in america right now. six public schools fall within the zika zone and 4000 students head back to class on monday. the united states air force is changing the foam it uses to fight fires. and this comes after the military ad chemicals may have tainted water in two southern colorado communities. experts have linked the chemicals to cancer and other illnesses. the air force is replacing the foam is something more environmentally responsible.

storms. we're seeing a few showers pop up from the cycle of daytime heating. watch as the final loop shows up. see these dots. that's a push of air from the front approaching and starting to kick up showers. you can see that on the camera from csu in fort collins. the front dips in early to mid- afternoon and makes a quick push through the state and it's going to kick up showers and thunderstorms. o heavy rain. and they could rumble into the early to mid-evening hours. we could see a strong storm today due to the big contrast in temperatures. temperatures i have bumped us up a little bit. i'm going for 74 now. a few 80s in the southeast. and 60s and 70s and still hot.
