. good morning, we're coming to a close in august soon. jamie is out this morning. >> reporter: a new fleet of buses come to the rail service. we'll tell you more coming up. a shooting report at the los angeles airport had people scattered last night. what police eventually found a shots fired. >> two men shot in southwest denver, one of them dead. ahead who are police looking for this morning. it's a little breezy this morning and feels different in the air. >> it does. fall is so close and lauren whitney is tracking it for us. >> good morning, off to a mild start with rain around town.

you're getting rain. it was heavy earlier this morning as you went into parts of el paso and central mountain areas. we'll talk about rain chances coming up. let's check in with joel now. >> we're learning the federal has been shut down from alameda due to a situation from police. they are working that and also working a situation along sheridan. look at this long line of here that's shut down near 38th. a look at the new mall shuttle buses this morning. denver is going electric. jamie leary live this morning to show us. >> reporter: good morning, rtd says it's time to switch out the old fleet which is 16 years old with 2,000 mooils on them. the new buses are battery powered and fully electric and

due to police activity there near 38th. >> never a good way to start a monday. a gunmen is on the loose after shooting a man to death early sunday in denver near cedar avenue. the gunmen also shot another person. investigators worked throughout yesterday collecting evidence and judging by the bags in the street, there was plenty of it. one neighbor says the area used to be calm and peaceful she's considering moving. >> it's scary. making you think about it's time to move on. hard to leave our neighborhood but the way it is police say they don't have a motive for this crime. they have not released the identity of the man killed. the other victim was in critical condition. two brothers are now being

the shooting death of nba star's dwayne wade's cousin. new calls to end the violence. >> when will enough be enough? how often do we have to stand at a podium like this? >>reporter: chicago police superintendent expressing the heart break felt. this aldridge, cousin of dwayne wade. she was pushing her baby in a stroller when she was shot. authorities say aldridge wasn't the intended target. they were targeting a man who was dropping off women in the suburbs. >> when he comes to his vehicle, two offenders are attempting to kill hup and miss him and kill

>> aldridge's mother spoke to cnn. >> they want their mom. it just hurts to hear kids saying they want their mom and their mom won't be in their lives anymore. >> reporter: she's speaking with compassion about the suspects. >> i forgive them. i can't bring her back but i forgive them and i pray to god that they pray to god to ask for forgiveness for what t done. the terminal at los angeles airport is back up and running after a scare. initially people thought there were shots fired there and there was an active shooter on the premise. this turned out be a false alarm. people were running in panic last night. the reports of a gunmen opening fire came in around 9:00. a search through the terminal enned with no evidence of a gunmen nor shots fired. police say it ended up just being loud noises of some sort.

of el paso county. now it's lightning up. we have had thunderstorms out on the eastern plains moving through the la junta area starting to ease up a bit. we have had rain in the denver area so a little bit of light rain towards the south and east said of town and parker and then castle and crested butte area. rain easing up. we will see it shift out and rain in the eastern plains into the parts of the central mountains. denver has a chance of this later on in the evening. they could produce wind and brief heavy rainfall. overnight tonight still rain in the early morning hours. tomorrow morning we're waking up the cloud cover thanks to the

federal from alameda there are lane restrictions in place as police are doing work along there. expect that this morning and then i'm going to take you up here along sheridan through wheat ridge and you can see this purple line as we have police activity as well causing lane restrictions and completely blocking off a portion of shir dan near 38th. a texas deputy helped out with a special delivery in houston. a couple was driving to the hospital when the woman went called 911. sergeant gomez pulled up behind them and helped deliver their baby. >> he just took over the wags and got the baby delivered safely and made sure everything was okay. >> i have two daughters and i was in the delivery room and watched what needed to happen and how the doctor did what he did. i'm no doctor by any means but i got the gist of it.

doing just fine. sergeant gomez even paid the family a visit in the hospital and got to hold the baby. a recent dna test reveals a four decade old mistake. two canadian men were switched at birth 41 years ago. the men were born three days apart in 1975 at the norway house indian hospital. it's not clear how they ended up going home parents. it was an emotional discovery for both men. >> i want answers. >> my mom and dad raised me and protected me. >> first time can be discounted as a mistake but a second time, that's a criminal activity. >> it's not clear if there are
