season, find a way to win 10 games and go to a bowl game. so this one was always important to us. >> you know, the one thing about bowl games you can throw the records out of the window. overtime game where the field goal gets block and kicks the field goal to win. what is that like for you? >> every game has been like for the last 8 or 10 years to admit csu was a rivalry. this is a real rivalry and important for both sides. any way you win this game, it doesn't matter how you win it. you just got to win. >> first game in this serious goes all the way back played in february of 1893, cu leads the

leads cu leads 9-6. what about coach mac? >> he is putting together a really good recruiting, so i'm glad they have given him a good year. they might give him another year based off the recruiting class alone. i'm glad they have got continuity going on up there because it's really important to keep the same guy in place to be able to turn things around. guy, mike bobo, 5 and 3 in the mountain west, you guys got to like what he brings to the ballgame. >> yeah, spent the bulk of his time being the offensive coordinator. he brings high intentionty football experience to the rams. he is very personal, just like

we lost the bowl game last year, but the fact he was an i believe to win 7 games and get to a bowl came, more things come from coach bobo. >> and the quarterback competition, csu has a quarterback competition, not one, two, but three guys competing. who is it going to be? >> it's top secret stuff right now. >> coach bobo doesn't want to tell. >> i suspect nick stephens right there. he is going to make a from his first year as a starter to his second year as a starter. that's typically how it goes when he understand you get -- when you get a lot of playing experience. i expect he will be the guy. but when you have the transfer from alabama, he was putting up a fight and a true freshman, also a skill set that they were very impressed with during training camp. interesting to see, but i expect nick stephen son will be the guy on friday. >> dpo you like the bt -- do
6:35 pm
know. maybe they don't have a guy. >> like they say, if you have two quarterbacks, you don't have one quarterback. cu knows who will be, started 31 games and played in 31 games, how important is that as an offensive guy to know that you have a senior leader going into this football season. >> incredibly important. and he has pulled together a great career. of stats for the buffs. it's important to have a guy like that as the captain of your time and obviously the bucks went out to cal and is doing things out there. there was a lot of excitement around that guy, but quite frankly we got a guy that has been there, he is a leader. he is a buff and bleeds black and gold. i'm glad we have some sol qb

6:51 pm
