good morning, i'm jamie leary. a child and an adult taken to the hospital after a house fire in lakewood. two other people got out safely. shawn chitnis is on kipling and morrison, what do you know so far this morning. >> reporter: good morning, we know a bit about how firefighters had to rescue the child trapped in the house. we're told the child was in the second story of the house and firefighters had to move the child from the back to the front. in addition to that child there was another person who was effected by the fire. take a look at video that shows

they were able to get the child out and there was also an adult out. they were both taken to the hospital to get treated for injuries likely to smoke inhalation. two people made it outside and are okay. firefighters say they got the call around 12:30 in the morning and heavy fire was coming out of the back side but they got a ha especially after they got the child out. the likely injury those two are facing and as far what's happening now you can hear the noise coming out of the crews working to secure the home. they are bordering up the house and we'll have to wait to find out if the home is a total loss and what type of damage the foundation has happened. as for now the college is still under investigation waiting to

an update on a road rage incident that left two people dead. we know now one of the victims was a good samaritan who stopped to help was a public works employee. we hear what friends of the victim are saying about the deadly crash. >> a case of road rage turned deadly thursday morning at the intersection of peen ya 56th. >> one of the drivers was pounding on the window. >> he was hit as it tried to get away. >> a good samaritan saw what happened and that's when both parties were struck by a third vehicle. >> the driver struck twice was pronounced dead at the scene. he died at a nearby hospital. on facebook coworkers remembered him as a great man and great

ford falcon. >> dpd reminds drivers how dangerous the road can be. >> if you find yourself in that situation do not stop if you don't have to. >> the surviving drivers are cooping with police and it's unlikely they will face charges. the sheriff's office will update us on the victim of a shoot out. a gunmenho school in parker last friday. he was later killed by officers. we expect to learn more about his injuries and the investigation into the shooting after a news conference. the white house is assessing whether north korea conducting its fifth and largest nuclear test. it comes after the geological test was conducted.
