coaches suffered significant injuries, including broken bones and fractured skulls. >> it really affected us all. >> reporter: every student is expected to be okay. monday, student robert kreiter tried to speak with friends. >> he saw the bus driver pass and he was just really traumatized right now. >> reporter: monday afternoon football practice was canceled. team members and coaches had a closed door school. as homecoming week moved forward, student john tomey had a message. >> you're in our thoughts and prayers. >> reporter: the homecoming game against prairie view is still scheduled for friday at 7:00. right now, there's a meeting begun on to discuss. that if that changes, we'll have new information for you on cbs4 news at 6:00. we're live in broomfield, tom mustin, cbs4 you news.

right now, cbs4's jennifer brice picks up the story at dia. you've learned more about the woman killed in this crash. >> reporter: we certainly have learned more about this bus driver. 44-year-old kari chopper who i'm told is not only a wife, she's a mother to four children and also a grandmother. i did speak with her husband today who says their family is devastated by this accident. police say they know the chopper made a second lap at the airport, attempting to leave when her bus drove straight into a pillar, they do not know why. investigators will now rely on chopper's autopsy medical background, and also the mechanics of the bus to piece together how this accident happened. her husband, josh chopper tells me that his wife was healthy, was not a drinker, did not smoke, did not use any kind of medications, or any kind of substance, and that this accident is a mystery to him as well. he says the only medical issues he's ever known his wife carrie

ago. >> she went to a specialist 20 years ago, and she used to have really bad migraine headaches. and she hasn't had any of those headaches in at least 20 years. they taught her how to take care of herself, eat right. exercise better. do the right things in life, and your body will take care of itself and heal itself. i wanted to know what happened. was it the traffic at dia? is it so funky configured out there that it was confusi happened to my wife. >> reporter: and chopper does tell me that late this afternoon, he spoke with the coroner's office, actually just minutes before we interviewed him, and coming up tonight at 6:00, i'm going to tell you what the coroner told him that he says was also a surprise to him and his family. live in denver, jennifer brice, cbs4 news. a denver police officer was not hurt in this early morning crash. the officer was headed to a

sheridan. right now days of delays are expected to drivers on the west side of the denver area. last night, a semi carrying construction equipment hit the i70 bridge. hillary clinton is taking a few days off of the campaign trail, after nearly collapsing during a ceremony on yesterday's anniversary of the boyd here now. we know pneumonia is serious business, especially for a 68- year-old candidate with a nonstop schedule. >> reporter: clinton tweeted today she is feeling fine and anxious to get back out there, but it may take longer for her to recover from the political fallout. her campaign didn't admit at first she had pneumonia.

clinton as her legs buckled under her. her campaign initially said she had overheated. only hours later did it admit she was suffering from pneumonia, and had been on antibiotics. feeding the perception she wasn't honest. >> the next couple of days, we're going to be releasing additional medical information about hillary clinton. we've been in touch with her physician this morning to get those materials together. we're going to be releasing lingering concerns about what you saw yesterday. >> reporter: the campaign has in the past resisted demands for medical records, and agents have scoffed at the discussion the 68-year-old's health was failing. in a rare show of strength, donald trump said he wished her well. but as mike pence added, transparency about the candidate is important. >> people are vying for the highest office in the land. i think the american people have a right to know, and

anymore. >> reporter: john booth. every blood donor slot was filled. the giving follows a sunday where the support for the deputy was overwhelming. >> i think we did about a thousand cars. >> reporter: drivers waited in long lines to buy coffee and contribute to the brite family. wesley pressby showed us buckets of change, donated by park meadow as mall. >> if you all wonder what happens to that you money when you throw it in the fountain and wish there it is, they filled up 6 buckets. >> reporter: sunday, hundreds prayed outside the room where brite remains in critical condition. if you want to donate blood, you can do so individually.

city council expands it's photo radar and enforcement system. the city is considering adding more radar and cameras, because it tells us, they've been very successful in making our streets and intersections safer. the city also working on a plan to build more affordable housing, and taxpayers will be called on to help. we'll have those details for you coming up at 6:00. a cold front cooler outside. you can see those clouds out there right now. we have a couple of scattered showers and thunderstorms all around us. we have that moisture flow pushing across the state. this could be the pattern right on into the weekend. i'll tell you how much below normal the temperatures will stay. >> plus we take you behind the scenes for a look at how cbs4 has covered the jonbenet ramsey case over the past 20 years.

for the first time since jonbenet ramsey was killed in her boulder is breaking her silence. he recently sat down with dr. phil. he talked about that day nearly 20 years ago. >> the next thing i remember is going to another one of our friend's houses. everyone was really sad over there, and my dad came and told me jonbenet is in heaven now, and he started crying. then i started crying.

investigation into a house fire that killed nine people. five of the victims were children. firefighters say when they arrived to the single story home earlier this morning, there was heavy smoke. all of the victims still inside. i went to the scene this morning, and it was kind of a quiet calm amongst the firefighters. you could feel their pain. >> this video shows the extent of the damage. firefighters believe it was caused by an electrical malfunction in an air now to a developing story in florida, where fire destroyed the mosque that the orlando nightclub shooter attended. investigators call it arson. say it is likely a hate crime. new at 5:00, a new device that could help smokers kick the habit for good. the patch is really a tiny computer that regulates the
