we have some rain and showers making their way up from the south and for us, we're on the dry and the cloudy side. you can see the rain moving out of the plains. throughout the morning hour, we may get a sprinkle or two around denver, the better chances this afternoon, with temperatures only in the 60s today, joel. you can expect a wet drive from the west this morning. portions of c 470 and be wet out there. right now in town, pretty good heading across the denver metro area. we have ongoing road work along c-470 and the lane closure in the eastbound direction where they had the piece of construction equipment that took out a piece of the bridge. >> breaking news this morning. police have an area closed off

the 5500 block of xanadu street. what can you tell us, sean? >> reporter: still a busy scene houring after he got here and denver police closed off the street you can see a roll of patrol cars and in the distance is a vehicle with the denver coroner. we know this is still very much a busy scene. you can see scene investigators working throughout the night. we first learned about this around 9:00 last night on monday night when denver police confirmed they were looking into an investigation and have closed off the small intersection where it meets maxwell. a few homes surround that intersection and one on the edge, on the west side, there's where they have been spending

crime scene unit going in and out of the house. we assume that's where they're dealing with the death investigation and anything that may have happened inside we're going to remain on scene and see what is going on. denver police say there's nothing more they can add to the case just that they're dealing with a death at this we're waiting on word on what killed a school bus driver and sent a coach to the hospital. reaction from legacy high school. >> i'm still speechless. >> reporter: why this school bus crashed head onto a concrete bridge remains a mystery and friends onboard are pulling for their recovery. >> it's hard to think about. those are your friends and you
