themselves for taxpayer livestock grazing and they want to wipe out the wild horses. >> what should happen, blm will continue to gather on the checkerboard and they will have to keep coming back because the horses travel everywhere throughout this 40-mile by 80- mile strip of land. there is public land to the south. public land to the north. most is not fenced so the horses will keep coming on to private land, moving back to public to manage. the second case a little different. the state of wyoming is suing the blm to remove thousands of horses from the range where there is horse populations that are above the designated level. both the american wild horse association campaign and the blm agree in this case, but the blm -- that the blm should have the authority over those numbers or the range and not

as the population exceeds this number, the blm is mandated to remove them. the federal government and we are on the same side in the second case and we're saying that is not true. the agency has broad discretion to determine whether horses need to be removed based on whether they are impacting the eek logical balance. a decision in this case is expected within weeks. jamie leary, cbs4news. thank you for breaking that down for us. opening arguments are expected to start this afternoon for a man in jefferson county facing child prostitution charges. the 20-year-old malloy forced a homeless teen girl to have sex with men in his apartment in exchange for a place to live. the trial for a driver hitting and killing a state cadet started this morning.
