the broncos 2-0. everybody happy about that. the man of the hour, we are not worthy after what happened yesterday. shane ray. have you come down from the high of the game winning touchdown yesterday? >> i have. it's kind of one of the in the moment things where you enjoy all the excitement and everything that it brings. now i've got to move on and get ready for next week. >> this is how altruistic i am. i was that same tank. >> that's nice of you. >> let's jump into that play yesterday. the strip sack from von, what happened? >> during the end of the game, 2 minutes. we're trying to run our stumps and get as much pressure as we go on the quarterback. i come inside for my rush. just out of the corner of my eye, i see this burst of lightning and the ball comes
6:32 pm
there it was, and i picked it up and ran it in. i wasn't going to waste any time. >> i thought you guys did a good job all day long of disrupting the pocket. tell me about the game plan going in there. >> mainly with andrew luck. you've got to bring pressure to him. you can't let him just find those open lanes. we know a lot of guys were going to use pressure. we had to push the lot of power rushes. a lot of counters inside. it's tough, because they're already sitting for the edges for us. now we've got to use a different style of game. >> you guys were all over the field yesterday, that's part of our coors light cold hard facts. two defensive touchdowns. you guys actually outscored the offense in terms of touchdowns. the offense had one. obviously, the strip sack and the pick 6, the strip sack,
6:33 pm
after the play, von apparently tried to play a little trick on shane. >> yeah i did see shane. man, they took away the touchdown? he was like what? and panicked. i've got to mess with him a little bit. try to find a way to poke at him and get him going even more. it was a great job. phenomenal job today, but don't tell him i said that. >> von says they took away the touchdown, did you believe him? >> no, you absolutely not. i've got to deal with von every day. i mean big brother of my room. so he's always trying to bully me, pick on me. >> like how? how does he do that? >> it's always a joke with him. he's an habitual prankster. he's always saying some joke, or doing something. it's expected. so now i'm just like, what's today, von? >> that was obviously the sack that everybody's talking about. as mark mentioned, you guys were able to put pressure on
6:34 pm
you ended up with 5 sacks? what's the difference? in the previous two games you guys were only able to bring him down one time. >>i think it was just our motives. i was telling everyone, i missed two of those sacks. there should have been two more on top of there, it was hard to get to him first off. his movement in the pocket makes him so dangerous. no one thinks andrew can really get out. once you get to him, he's hard to hoping he comes down for the sack and he still gets the ball out. to have that kind of vision, lets you know the kind of quarterback he is. >> shane, you've got a great opportunity now. guys get hurt, demarcus ware goes down. going to be out 4 to 6 weeks with that broken arm. now you're not only replacing him, and that production, but talk to me about his production, and then talk to me about also, his leadership and how that's going to be missed
6:35 pm
rooms. >> demarcus is obviously, a huge mentor. his production on the field, his knowledge of the game is what makes him so great. he knows what rushes to do. he knows situations. i've never seen a guy go down the offensive line, and break down every guy's tendency, and find something to jump the snap count. he will pause the media room. that just lets you know what he can do, and fo prepared me for this. all off-season, with demarcus being out with his back, and any situation for me to come in like this. i'm comfortable, man, i've had a lot of reps these first two games. been able to get a lot of good work in, and working with demarcus. now for me, i've just got to take it up to another level. >> he may not be on the field, but still coaching you young guys up. monday night at the viewhouse.

welcome back to xfinity monday live in the viewhouse centennial. we're talking about the broncos big victory over the colts yet. you know the scoop and score wasn't the only time the defense found pay dirt. >> drop by andrew luck, forced to step up. pass will be talib is at the 5, touchdown denver! >> so aqib talib with his fifth pick six as a bronco. the most in team history. everybody talks obviously, about von miller, but those guys in the back, they're the best in the league. >> definitely. i don't think our secondary falls second to any team's
6:40 pm
they talk. i don't know about other football teams, but the communication between those guys, who they're covering, what they're doing, they're phenomenal. on top of that, they lay the hit stick on guys. >> they hit pretty hard as well. >> chris harris jr. said that essentially, defenses, or their defense changes the way offenses prepare to play how have you seen in these two games, carolina and the colts, their offense has changed. >> you look at the carolina game, they came out in a max protection front. we're either going to stop the rush, or we're going to let their guys rush us and we're just going to fight their secondary. either way, it was a bad decision. it made them play, i would say more timid, and conservative. you look at the colts, i mean, i don't know how many total
6:41 pm
game, but our guys locked them down. the competition between chris and ty hilton. chris held them to maybe four or five catches. it tells you you how aggressive they are. how competitive they are, and what they do on the back end, we all work together. if we're rushing well, and they're playing their game, it just makes it difficult for any team. >> less than 200 yards. that was following a 385-yard performance in week 1. anytime you ca under 200 yards, you're doing a good job. now you move onto next week. onto cincinnati. andy daulton, and the bengals lost yesterday to the steelers. you guys beat the bengals last year, but you didn't see andy daulton. >> i don't like comparing guys, but i would say it kind of
6:42 pm
gosh, packers. aaron rodgers. he has quick feet and good vision. he was able to maneuver around the pocket, becaused off the rush. if you go outside, he can come inside. he can step up and make throws. making sure we can collapse the pocket on him is key. >> they've lost some of they're great players. in atlanta. they're trying to figure it out as well. >> that game coming up sunday at 11:00. we've got more broncos coming up. this thursday, the cbs football blitz. we'll get started at 5:30. plenty more to come on xfinity
