on south. the bullets go through the house but a couch stops them. no one was hurt because of that. police taped off the house and trying to figure out who the shooter is. one man accused in the money laundering case in sherry village is sentenced today. the case accused the men of laundering money for an international money ring. the u.s. attorney's office has dropped charge fertatto. he was accused of using cash from column bee i can't to put into business as a front to buy a grow facility. no reason was given for the prosecution to drop the charges. they have learned he forfeited $450,000 in cash that was found apparently in the trunk of his car. >> a california fire forces

it's burning at least a thousand acres. about 30 miles south of san jose, california. firefighters are dealing with the temperatures and fast moving flames. so far, they destroyed at least one structure. >> we've seen a lot of fires and i seen these guys and what they can do. i have a lot of confidence with them. >the air attack is key for the fire because of the terrain and steep terrain and there. >> plains drop retardant on the flames yesterday afternoon. >> we do weather and traffic every 10 minutes on the 4's. >> good morning. taking a lookout side, the skies are clear. looking outside, it's cool. getting into late september so morning temperatures are going to be cooler than where we were a couple months ago.

seeing delays along i-c470. you can expect ramp restrictions in place. the ramp restrictions we had in place at i-25 have been moved out of the way. looks like we have north bound, santa fe reopened as well. >> a teenage girl won the fight against cancer and lost her life outside a home. this morning, friends and family say good-bye to that teen shot and killed. the person responsibility is still on cbs4 is live from the thornton police department with the latest in this search for him. scene. >> well, it's been days since that shooting. more than a week and so today the family is preparing for funeral services. all of this happening as police are still trying to find that shooter. this all took place on 128 and holly here in thornton at a house early saturday in the morning on that day. investigators are getting tips

witnesses are too afraid to come forward with more information. police think haily was an unintended target of gang violence. her mother hopes she can appeal to anyone out there about the importance to help with the investigation and find the courage to speak up. police have a vague suspect description though. they say taste hispanic man in his late teens or early 20s described as five feet six inches tall with dark hair, nose ring. thornton police looking for help in this case and trying to find the person responsible in this shooting. the funeral set to begin at 11 a.m. life in thornton, cbs4 morning news. >thank you, scene. this morning a teenage boy accused of attacking a 70-year- old woman is going to face a judge. yesterday 16-year-old jeffrey collins was in court.

with a fire poker. then leaving the scene. the bolder district attorney plans to charge collins as an adult with the charge of attempted murder. students on edge after a female student was attacked on the cu bolder campus. now police are hunting for the college aged attacker. the attempted sex assault happened early sunday morning. the student says the man came up behind her and pulled her to the ground. aged black man with a shaggy period and mustache. >the guy that's replaced pay ton manning is setting the mark for a new starting quash in nfl history. he saved his work after the bengals took the one point lead, the broncos responded with a long touchdown drive. 82-yards, 13 plays chewing up nearly eight minutes off the clock. finished with a beautiful

for his life is helping raise money to fight cancer dressed as super man. he was dressed as the man of steal giving him a big hand at the hospital. he's been getting treatment at cleveland's hospital. last november he was diagnosed with the deadliest form of brain cancer. even though, he has still worked a full time job and still built a running team to raise money, took part in his son's wedding and been there for his daughter's graduation thankful with a fighting spirit. >> he's been able to tolerate the treatments well. now he's going back out in the world to continue with that very active and fulfilling life. >> i've never been changed before like this. i had no option. i had people forward that could beat this. they're going to continue to beat it. there you go. treatment so powerful the bone marrow cannot take it. stem cells are removed from
